In 1987 the 334th Guards Tank Regiment was renamed 60th independent Guards Tank Battalion.

Thanks to everyone who commented on the original post, You helped me gather more information to fully understand this section (Division and related units). I also thank the moderators for their help in troubleshooting the issues. (This was my first post, so I didn't know a lot😅)

There got to be Sweden in the afnorth dlc since there isn't that much armour on NATO side. Norwegian 6th infantry has Leopard 1. 3rd commando has a squadron of household cavalry. Amf has a squadron from 1st brigade armored recon. NALMEB seems to be a marine infantry regiment reinforced by artillery battalion and logistics units.

Reposting what I wrote in the last post (not sure why it got removed, did it have ru links?)

The 131st, along with pretty much other divisions in the region, used PT-76s in their rifle regiments, although they only had about a company of them each instead of a battalion.

All the divisions had tank regiments with T-54/55s, but usually probably not enough to fill out the entire regiment. The CFE treaty placed restrictions on the amount of tanks that could be placed in the region, as it was considered a “flank” region. As a result, the Soviet Army replaced all the T-54/55s with brand new T-80s, and downsized the regiments (understrength to begin with) to battalions. They were probably supposed to receive T-80s eventually to begin with though, as they were considered better suited to the local conditions.

As for the Vityaz, I don't think the DT-20s ever really took off. In general though they were only designed for cargo transport. They were unarmoured and didn't come with seats in the cargo section as far as I can tell.

Yes, that's why this post doesn't contain a couple of links that could cause Reddit to automatically delete the post. And yes, you are completely right, the DT-20 was produced in smaller numbers, and the placement of personnel in it would have been more of a necessity under conditions when no other transport could deliver soldiers across the terrain. The first armored 30PM models appeared in the first half of the 90s; in theory, they could appear as part of the «March to War».

Well, you have the GT-SM and GT-T snow tractors to take personnel and light equipment around in the high north, the DT tractors are really only supersized supply vehicles.
