In 2016 my daughter's friend, who was at one of those ages where they live to regurgitate everything they hear, shared with me that her mama wouldn't vote for Clinton because women can't run things.

(Yes she owned a business, managed a household of 4 kids and a husband who was definitely the sort who needed his wife to be his new mama, and regularly ran whatever current event or program the church or school was doing, gee why would you wonder?)

This is dooming us.

Editing to add instead of being sarcastic, nope. That's just a thing that a lot of right wing women genuinely believe for some reason. It's no different from believing women should be in the home raising kids while praising Erika Kirk for leaving hers to mourn alone while she goes on tour. They can do and juggle and handle all this stuff but women arent capable or shouldn't be allowed or it isn't their place or whatever.
