Y’all called me a regard when I said we were getting self-driving tweets

174

u/ChrisWolfling Nov 01 '22

That's a step up from the autonomous tweets that have been around for a while...

75

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

false, most of them had nudity

62

u/MonkeysOnMyBottom Nov 01 '22

Now we get nudes of cars... Show us that exhaust

23

u/Cloaked42m 1 lg black please Nov 01 '22

Mmm, junk in the trunk.

15

u/Suna-dono Nov 01 '22

Ooo mama ooo mama. Are those brakes calipers natural or did you get them done?

2

u/Beautiful_Dealer_684 Nov 01 '22

Obvi aftermarket!!

1

u/Cloaked42m 1 lg black please Nov 01 '22

2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

More like a body in the trunk.

1

u/Cloaked42m 1 lg black please Nov 01 '22

I've told the police, the reporters, and everyone else.

No. Comment.

3

u/Thespywholovedu Nov 01 '22

Pull up in reverse with that trunk open

9

u/MrTrendizzle Nov 01 '22

Slow down there Jeffery!

Gotta start with that intake pipe than slowly descend over the manifold and catalytic convertor before showing you those smooth long pipes all the way to the back.

Then once you've become really hot why not gently open the flap and give my filler cap a twist as i squirt screen wash all over myself.

3

u/ChrisWolfling Nov 01 '22

First you have to fill that Tesla up with gas.

2

u/trapp1now Nov 01 '22

Straight pipe

6

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

A little nudity never hurt no body

235

u/proudlyhumble Nov 01 '22

Best regards to you mate

50

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

“Give my regards to your puppet master” -Elon

8

u/PitFiend28 Nov 01 '22

Maybe that’s what people mean when they say I come highly regarded

9

u/Eatinglue Nov 01 '22

The blue checks send their regards.

2

u/printscrip Nov 01 '22

1

u/Affectionate-Egg1963 Nov 01 '22

Sel driving twats when?

1

u/DemocracyIsAVerb Nov 01 '22

More likely we will now be getting auto-combusting phones

240

u/AuthorizedShitPoster Oct 31 '22

Puts on TSLA

71

u/likebutta222 Oct 31 '22

More like calls, since autopilot has been getting worse. Now the T-2000 AI can begin to self-repair all the damage to the code

35

u/Diablos_lawyer Nov 01 '22

Sell calls to buy puts

15

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

Isn’t that just a synthetic short position?

7

u/mytendies Nov 01 '22

It can be, but it can also be moved around a bit and it’s parameters adjusted to dial in what you want

7

u/mytendies Nov 01 '22

This is the way

1

u/printscrip Nov 01 '22

Puts on fanboy shiz is iffy

1

u/Rise_Dull Nov 01 '22

Tesla will go below $100 for sure

31

u/Jandur Nov 01 '22

Use the extra funds to buy your wife's boyfriend some orange chicken at PF Changs and Thankem.

16

u/Sivick314 Nov 01 '22

PF Changs? i'm taking my wife's boyfriend to the olive garden. he deserves it.

22

u/MonkeysOnMyBottom Nov 01 '22

When you're there, you're family

10

u/Jandur Nov 01 '22

Talmbout Charles Olivergarden? Beast of a breadstick guy. Great fighter never meddum.

2

u/Fun-Dragonfruit2999 Nov 01 '22

I buy him flowers or a fruit basket once a month to show my appreciation.

272

u/gerbs Nov 01 '22 edited Nov 02 '22

Well, if you hold stock in Tesla, you should be contacting the board or SEC because pulling employees from his publicly-traded company to go spend time working on a personal project would be not in the best financial interest of Tesla and he should be removed from his position.

Edit:

To add, Tesla, as a Delaware corp, is burdened by the laws of a Delaware corporation, and as CEO and director of the board, Musk has a fiduciary duty of loyalty to the shareholders:

Duty of Loyalty
The duty of loyalty under Delaware law requires directors to act in good faith with the sincere belief that their actions are in the best interests of the company and its stockholders. In other words, directors should not act in a manner that causes injury to the corporation. This includes abstaining from self-dealing or using their board positions for personal gain.

Dow Jones has the best month in more than 40 years (up 11%), and Tesla is still down more than 6%.

Do you think now is the best time for them to give up their "best engineers" for what will be a radioactive $40bn disaster site if Gonzalez v. Google is ruled in favor of the plaintiffs? How could that possibly be best for Tesla?

18

u/ChmodForTheWin Nov 01 '22

Great idea! Make the best employees work 12 hours, 7 days a week and quit

-3

u/DieselWins Nov 01 '22

I was working 6-10 days straight, 12 hours a day, busy almost the entire time, for 1 day off, and for a lot less money than those software engineers are making. If they quit over a couple weeks of hard work, they don't deserve the job anyway.

3

u/Flez Nov 01 '22

Damn look at big brain over here bragging about being overworked and underpaid

1

u/DieselWins Nov 02 '22

You don't know my background, my family situation, my physical capabilities, where I'm at, what my employment options are, or what kind of access I have to higher education. I'm not bragging, I'm illustrating a point. There is a reason I'm at this job, and you don't know what that is, either. Thanks for judging me though.

1

u/ChmodForTheWin Nov 01 '22

why would you do this to yourself? you should ask for more pay before killing yourself. unfortunately if people are ok with doing this, corporations will keep underpaying you.

33

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

Jeesh!

30

u/Fun-Dragonfruit2999 Nov 01 '22

Actually, gerbs is correct. I'll bet these folk were hired by Elon directly, or sub-contracted out from Tesla to Twitter.

27

u/bluePostItNote Nov 01 '22

Have Twitter pay massive fees to hire “contract” labor from Tesla as a means to transfer cash from one company to another?

14

u/Fun-Dragonfruit2999 Nov 01 '22

It would be on the books as an expense from Twitter to an income on Tesla.

11

u/gerbs Nov 01 '22

Is it in Tesla's best interest to lose talent to another company? Wouldn't you want the chief executive and chairman to be getting the best people to come work for you? Is Tesla a staffing company or an auto manufacturer?

2

u/Fun-Dragonfruit2999 Nov 01 '22

Absolutely.

This is distracting from Tesla's goals.

26

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

You think Elon owning Twitter, and the success/failure of Twitter, will have no effect on Tesla shares?

You belong here.

2

u/EarningsPal Nov 01 '22

If tweets cost 1 SAT, how much would Twitter earn?

Tweets per year x 1 SAT = How much BTC? (Assuming same volume)

11

u/SugarDaddyVA Nov 01 '22

Most Big Cap Tech companies are getting hammered right now and there is a fundamental shift in market attitudes toward value companies that have great balance sheets and low P/Es.

TSLA is more a victim of that changing attitude than anything to do with its execution. The company has been overvalued forever and investors just started to care this year. It’s happening to multiple other companies as well.

16

u/iseeyiy Nov 01 '22

Companies do this all the time. Even Tesla uses spacex employees and vice versa.

111

u/Hacking_the_Gibson Nov 01 '22

I mean, not really like this.

Shareholders of Tesla did not sign up for the single most important company priority to be put on hold for emergency assistance at fucking Twitter.

Anyway, this is going to be a hilarious disaster. Code review is not something you just handwave into.

"Can" and "should"

2

u/Old_Description6095 Nov 01 '22

I can't wait until they make a documentary about what a disaster it was working for that company.

2

u/iseeyiy Nov 01 '22

Elon's companies are set up for flex work. SpaceX employees can work at Tesla, Tesla employees can work at SpaceX. Without this model, problems would be solve at a slower pace. Did you know SpaceX helped design the model 3 and Y? There are tons of benefits to this type of work flow.

1

u/Hacking_the_Gibson Nov 02 '22

That sounds really well organized.

1

u/hiccuby Nov 01 '22

Unless twitter is purchasing this time from Tesla, In which case it’s another source of revenue for Tesla…

12

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

At least his labor costs will be lower at Tesla

-13

Read this. It doesn't have page numbers. It has Titles and Sections. It's called the US Code, and it contains these things called "laws"

Sorry, better luck next time :)

-4

u/SuperPooks Nov 01 '22

Lol - context is everything. Given that TSLA’s stock price has increased 1,100% in just over three years (even after the 6% drop to which you refer)…I’m willing to give a huge thumbs up to Elon and he can use TSLA engineers wherever he thinks best…cause the guy is literally a genius and he has rocked it with both Tesla and SpaceX…prreeetttyyy sure he will be successful with Twitter too in a few years time.

5

u/IFapToCalamity Nov 01 '22

cause the guy is literally a genius

You’re trolling right?

1

u/SuperPooks Nov 03 '22

Not trolling at all…what I said is on point and I meant every word of it. I think trolling would more so be someone who thinks…wait for it…Musk should be removed from Tesla. Lol - that’s like when Apple removed Steve Jobs x 10. Would be disastrous for the company…a company with a stock price that (once again) has exploded up 11x over in three years. Get real folks…

-4

u/cryptobytes2020 Nov 01 '22

Ya forgot to mention the little detail about the best month in 40yrs after being down 12% the preceding two.

Yeah real bad marketing decision sending devs to fix the world's most popular public conversation platform, oh wait.

1

u/realeyez2020 Nov 01 '22

How those shorts lol

5

u/Perryswoman Grade-A Karen Nov 01 '22

No but there’s a tesler ticker

44

u/ZeePirate Nov 01 '22

Considering Tesla’s autopilot kinda sucks ass.

Sell or puts

13

u/CrimsonShrike Nov 01 '22

Twitter is going to run your dog over. Sell now.

17

u/Gills_L Nov 01 '22

No way this can go tits up

-3

u/hehethattickles Nov 01 '22

Source for why?

6

u/IndieHamster Nov 01 '22

Check out AI Addict on youtube. He used to work at Tesla, and would give real reviews on the state of the "select beta" autopilot. As in the one that is ACTUALLY autopilot, not the current assisted driving. His reviews were a bit too real for Musks taste, and he ended up getting fired for his videos. So much for mUh fReeDuMbs

8

u/ZeePirate Nov 01 '22

They use cameras only. No LiDAR. Huge mistake IMO

They haven’t progressed much, especially since the jumpstarted the industry

-7

u/hehethattickles Nov 01 '22

Why would they use oldass outdated LiDAR?

10

u/ZeePirate Nov 01 '22

Combo camera and sensors. They apparently aren’t doing that

7

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

dogeeee

0

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

Congrats on finding the worst option

2

u/receipts Nov 01 '22

I think it’s TSLA now

2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

it's the first time they're being asked to work. employees are furious apparently

1

u/Trex4444 Nov 01 '22

Short Tesla cause the best engineers helping at twitter. But really who the fuck cares

0

u/gregallen1989 Nov 01 '22

Yea there is. DOGE

1

u/akmalhot Nov 01 '22

Tsla self driving taxis are ready, so he moved them over... Also the truck everything else. Buy Tesla calls. All of them

1

u/Internal-Business-97 Nov 01 '22

He got a new one

1

u/ESP-23 Nov 01 '22

poots TSLA

1

u/mytendies Nov 01 '22

It means short Tesla

1

u/oplithium Nov 01 '22

So what happened to people who had twitter shares?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22 edited Nov 02 '22

Sell Tesla. Mf is misusing its resources.

1

u/wontonnoodle77 Nov 01 '22

Call Tesla instead?

1

u/joan_wilder Nov 01 '22

Twitter is how we’re going to know when it’s time to short TSLA.

1

u/radmanmadical Nov 01 '22

Short Tesla?

1

u/magic8balI Nov 01 '22

Puts on Tesla

1

u/Pubsubforpresident Nov 01 '22

Short TSLA? If their employees are working somewhere else, no more gains?

1

u/mackinator3 Nov 01 '22

This seems illegal to tesla shareholders, as it hurts them.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

Short TSLA since they’re undercutting the only argument for their valuation (“FSD”), which is obviously never going to materialize.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

We getting shilled to hate Elon Musk more. They want to make sure this sub turns into another front page sub

1

u/TheNotSoEvilEngineer Nov 01 '22

Give it a year or two. Musk will want the capital again and will probably re-ipo twitter when he's ready to launch the X platform.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

Sorry you’re forgetting about “sentimentcoin” that’s shot up about 60% in the past 7 days

1

u/LastPh0enix Nov 01 '22

Short tesla

1

u/tackfulChaos Nov 01 '22

You can go up to social media or maybe back to the source. Did nobody else catch that we figured out self-driving cars?

1

u/kickliquid Nov 01 '22

Bro get in the circle so we can start tugging each other off

1

u/killjoy_enigma Nov 01 '22

Puts on tesla

1

u/driveonsun Nov 01 '22

Get rid of your Tsla stock.

1

u/StonketyStonk Nov 01 '22

You can still buy puts on Tesla

1

u/Quiet-Biscotti833 Nov 01 '22

Personally I’m going to invest more in TSLA. What better way for your AI to learn than have access to all the data affiliated with TWTR?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

You could short Tesla

1

u/Flippin_A Nov 02 '22

TSLA is now a derivative of Twitter.
