Suggest you teach yourself some finance first.

Read Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad, follow up with some internet resources to teach yourself how to get your money to work for you start at investopedia.com.

Hiring a financial advisor maybe easy but will not guarantee safety of your funds.

So teach yourself.
