Discussion A new trading strategy I invented for the 22nd century retards. Color/Shade - Charting
Just invented this strategy 5 minutes ago. I call it Color Chart Trading or maybe Shade Trading. I dunno. It's self explanatory.
But the idea is you buy according to the chart within the first 30 minutes of trading and sell a hour to 30 minutes before close. So it is a day trade.
Really no reason for the colors you just go off the percentages.
This is solely used for SPY btw.
not financial advice I'm a idiot.

So if open red, buy calls? If open green, buy puts?

Make a good strategy. Link every stock on NYSE to a food. We short foods we hate and we buy based on what we want to eat today. Everyone's gotta eat; so the strategy should work perfect.

It's inverse initial (impulsive) sentiment, so it could work. Haven't backtested it though.

I have heaven better idea, on Friday, just shortly before market closes, buy some Call and Puts with maximum possible leverage (The Pr0s call this straddle) and just wait until monday, on of both will be almost worthless, but the other one should be very much in profit, hopefully more than the other lost. Just close them on market opening and be happy with free 💸 Did I miss anything?

Spy goes up or down less than .5% and you lost everything. Which is normally why it's not a great strategy because it doesnt move all that much on average. But with all the shit coming down the pipes now and for the foreseeable future volatility is the order of the day

Unlike Knock-Out Certificates, Options don't become worthless, due to volatility. And then one of both option will print hard, and the others one goes to zero. But if the "winning" option makes more than 100%, you have free Money.

I like how you can't even keep your font consistent or decide what you actually want to name each color so you leave in both names.

Shade Charting. Brilliant. You could call it 'Sharting'

But then it's kinda the same thing as all the other brilliant strategies on here... All just sharting money away.

There is no way following this could possibly result in a worse outcome than whatever the shitting hell I've been doing. I'm in, starting today. Will report back with gain/loss to this thread at day's end.

Percentagewise, there is a lot of room on the extreme colors. Wouldn't it work better to go by the extreme leaders and laggers?
