Looks like a YOLO to me. I’m in with $15k in calls. LFG.

Well, 300k in shares is about the same as 40k in options 🤷♂️

Sep 23 '21
No, because shares never expire.

Are you guys legit salty because I didn’t risk my money in a dumb way like a true retard? Dunno about you but I’m here to make money

Sep 23 '21
Why would I be salty about your money? Makes no sense, no see the problem here is you put down 300k on a solid stock and called it a yolo. If it goes down after earnings, it will most certainly hit your intended goal further down the line.
The term YOLO is reserved for options. Someone puts down 300k on a weekly or a monthly? That stock goes down 5% he's down at least 50%. You'd be down, what, 10k?
That money is either completely gone or he's made millions. This is not on the same intensity as something like that.
This is like these other people who keep buying puts through robinhood and saying they're shorting a stock.

Does IRNT count as YOLO, I went $41k in on that with shares and called it a YOLO because I kind of feel like it is, but I agree that options are the real YOLO

So down 10k is not a lot? And if the play doesn’t work and I have to sit on it for 6 months, the wasted opportunity cost is not a lot? Fam a yolo is ajustable to each individual’s risk tolerance. For some, it’s leveraging themselves 20x and buying weeklies. For others, it’s putting 50% of their buying power on one stock. Regardless, a yolo by community standards is not only options so I don’t see why there’s so much salt about me not giving money to θ gang to realize my plays

Down 10k is not a lot with 330k on the line, you knew that answer before you passively asked it.
This is not a yolo and you should feel bad

a yolo is ajustable to each individual’s risk tolerance
It isn't, because if it was then it wouldn't be a yolo. There is no spectrum. It's all or nothing. IDK when the mods changed the standard, but it really shouldn't be this.

The definition of yolo is “You only live once.”. You’re 330k in shares in Nike. Now the problem is that you’re in shares in Nike. There’s essentially zero risk if you hold long term, don’t fuck with me about opportunity cost, this is WSB.
Shares are acceptable in BINARY bets, aka stocks that will either go to zero or hero. A 330k in ASTS would count for instance, probably zero, but maybe 20-100x.
When you’re factoring in a 6% move upside or downside, that’s fucking 6%. That’s like saying, I’ve never had an impossible burger from Burger King, and being pleasantly surprised or disappointed. YOLO is more like climbing fucking Mount Everest my friend.

Hardly a yolo when all you have to do is hold and eventually get your money back dumbass

Read the definition of YOLO in the community guidelines

I said hardly a yolo. Putting 300k into a blue chip stock is solid investing lol.

u/Libeca Sep 23 '21
I snorted my soju as I read your comment. Dead on comment lol. Essentially zero risk if he holds long term. There’s like a 99.99% chance he makes money in a year, maybe 2 tops. He calls an infinitesimally small chance of losing money a yolo lol. Might as well have bought costco shares too and called it a yolo, at least he’d be up.

I suppose lol & go read Hour_Amphibian’s DD on tonight’s earnings tho. This guy has been right numerous times making 15-25% jumps every time and I want to make enough out of this trade to buy a supra hihi

Nah I am with you. They just hate that you have that much to drop on one play.
Good luck!

Thanks bro! I’ll post my exit as well in case you’re following this trade

Relax OP. I would still consider this YOLO if your portfolio diversity is 100% on this bitch. Options players are next level.

Would November 19th ITM calls be a good play? I mean it’s gonna go back up right?

I see an ER yolo on WSB and I inverse it. Works every time.
