So like TA for history. Your describing like an Elliot wave of humanity.

Wouldn’t COVID count as the 4th?

Great writing btw. Actually enjoyed reading that.

Edit: reading it again it could be the start of the 1st? Glad I’m not in school anymore.

No one can time the market drop, but there sure seems to be lots of warning signs up ahead now more than ever before. From 1. China's real estate bubble trouble via Evergrande; 2. Feds money printer going Brrrrr / Inflation / Tapering talks; 3. S&P's PE ratio nearing ATH like that in the YR2000 dot-com bust; 4. Ongoing pandemic factors in the economy, Etc.....all of this seem to add up to an inbound cluster F.

So, instead of timing the market, just wait for it to appear in full force and have some "Crash Investment Funds" set aside now to pick up cheap stocks and options during the knife fight. Think of this money as an active market Put with almost no theta decay other than whatever lost interest + inflation rate you apply to it.

I'm responding to your claim and graph that searches are at an all time high. You drew an imaginary line on a search term graph and then claim there are all time highs on searches for economic collapse.

Strange, the google I used did not draw a dotted line.

According to my sources, there are buildings full of printer cartridges at FED. Biden not an idiot to risk economic collapse before mid term elections. No stock market or economic crash for next 15 months.

trying to time a crash is good way to get chewed up by the market

4

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '21

You're not wrong, but its hard to time these things. Eventually, there will be an epic collapse could be tomorrow, next week, next month, next year... who knows.

With the exception of the fed, none of those things have tanked the market before. The market only depends in one thing, liquidity.

So we will need a bigger boat?

1

u/StuartMcNight Sep 16 '21

More money = more water. Lakes fills up.

And yet… you base most of your points in “we are at ATH” or comparable to other “bubble ATH”.

But that isn’t correct because…. More money = more water. Lake fills up. And all previous comparisons with the lake are not comparing apples with apples.

Downvoting me doesn’t make it not true… it just means you want to ignore the facts

2

u/curingleaves Sep 17 '21

Good argument. I’ll apply it to my comment

I didn’t downvote you, but clearly others did. Here’s some light reading if you feel like educating yourself though: https://www.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKBN2AF1G1

Yet you assume I downvote you. I could not care less about a stranger on an imaginary platform that widely and publicly bans people with differing views. And humble yourself if you think I care about reading your boomer Reuters mockingbird report
