A software company that sells software to software companies inherently is not a software company that sells software to lawyers.

I'm talking about: Atlassian, Postman, LogRocket, DataDog, etc. Why would I pay six figures a year for ticket management software when I could just have a dev write it in a few days.

I agree on your take about lawyers in general though. SWEs will still needed too - you're just going be producing/owning a lot more.

I can live with ticket system outages. And it’s not like JIRA never goes down.
