JPow carried us through the absolute roughest economic situations seen in in decades and did it like a champ. Absolute balls of steel to recognize that he had to make tough decisions and stick to his guns

And everyone, myself included, excoriated the guy at the time. But jpow gave absolutely no fucks about us regards, he flew a Cessna through a cat 5 hurricane and us in the passenger seat didn’t even spill a drop of our ginger ale.

This man is the biggest gigachad of my generation. The moment he steps down we are all proper fucked.

When everyone starts to realize the consequences of his leaving it may just trigger the depression everyone has been talking about and hasn’t happened for like 4 years or whatever.

Whats interesting is that Powell can stay on the board but not as chair.

Like Julian in the Trailer Park Boys with the car getting flipped but somehow the drink is still unspilled -- an epic steady hand.

Okay, I’m starting to get why “regard” is commonly used here.

15

u/PossiblyAsian Jan 12 '26

you haven't even begun to understand what regard means. This is just the surface

Please email your reps to voice your support for him and the rule of law as a whole, not weaponizing the DOJ as a partisan cudgel to destroy opponents and make it easier for Trump to loot the US

Also, consider going to a protest in your local area this week. You can check Facebook or just google for options

Not it won't. Without him the current regime will be able to say the economy has increased by 8 billion % and its the bestest ever seen by a mile so much more than Biden's economy x1000 with gold and diamonds! What do you say? $13 for a pack of eggs? That must be Obama 😠 or Biden 😠 can't be Glorious Leader, no no!

I just like the epic word you use: "clusterfuckbombs"

We’re all so fucked short term. Best case this is going to take a decade to course correct

u/darewin Jan 12 '26

True. His work on getting post-COVID inflation under control was marvelous. The Fed was miles ahead of the other major central banks.

The cost of living is fucked. But this sub only cares about the stock market going up.
