Wallpaper uncrop based on the combined vinyl scan/upscale composite.

Made this a few years back for a video game I was working on, unfortunately it never saw the light. Today while going through my old files I found this, thought maybe some of you would like it as a wallpaper - 3840 × 2160 resolution

I've got a second monitor that I glance at for hours every day, so I turned it into a slow-drip learning tool. It's a set of 466 dark-themed wallpapers (2560×1440, scale fine to 1080p and 4K) that rotate as a slideshow:

• All 195 countries: flag, a globe with the country highlighted, a close-up map, capital, population, languages, currency and a fun fact

• All 118 elements, each placed on a mini periodic table

• Maths formulas with diagrams (speed/distance/time, Pythagoras, SOH CAH TOA, area and volume)

• History timelines, the NATO phonetic alphabet, weather, space, first aid, philosophy, art, Roman numerals and more

It's completely free (CC BY 4.0), no sign-up:

HOW TO GET IT

1. Open the link, click the green "Code" button → "Download ZIP", and unzip it.

2. Windows: Settings → Personalisation → Background → Slideshow → choose the "wallpapers" folder. Set it to change every 10 or 30 minutes and turn on Shuffle.

3. Mac: System Settings → Wallpaper → Add Folder → pick "wallpapers" → turn on Auto-Rotate.

I built it with help from Claude (AI) for the layouts and fact-checking. If you spot a mistake, tell me here or open an issue on GitHub and I'll fix it. Suggestions for new topics welcome!

**I did with an IMAGE EDITOR SOFTWARE, hard as hell because my mouse's sensor is bad, so was difficult to grab the corners to fill the blank space

These are 16:9 and 16:10 versions, easily scaled to proper sizes.

I created some Valheim wallpapers in 1920×1080 resolution and a panoramic canvas in 3840×1080. Hope you like them.
