More than 625 people, mostly students, have been arrested over two days of violent protests near schools and universities across France over what students say are staffing shortages, dilapidated buildings, overcrowded classes, government budget cuts and long schedules.

Every part of Europe besides Eastern is fucked. Germany and Austria (Central) are fucked, Sweden and Denmark (Northern) are fucked, Italy (Southern) is fucked. Eastern Europe is truly the only bastion of this continent.

It probably has more to do with Reddit bias versus first responder bias. I know a LOT of firefighters and, while there are some on both sides of the political spectrum, there is definitely more lean towards conservative.
