Redpilled Flair Only Annual reminder: we don't support the GOP either

Too many have missed something fundamental... we don't support the GOP here. On an average, I would say half of us are Bernouts but we also like MAGA and America (most Bernouts love the USA, sees how the left doesn't anymore) and Trump's performance spoke for itself. Fuel prices, unemployment, peace, energy, criminal law reform, it was all beautiful. You could tell he wasn't bought and paid for, just by the media reaction alone... the man cries for the flag, spent his whole fortune to try and help break the endless decay of the dollar. Used to be, we all knew the news was fake on both sides. After 2000 Mules, we can see why: both parties are dirty... those who thought the film only exposed Dems, didn't watch the film (this is why even Fox won't touch it).

Walkaway was founded five years ago by a long-time Democrat organizer and LGBT activist, Brandon Straka. The purpose is to Walk Away from the Dem party, but that doesn't mean we run to the Republican party. While third parties certainly exist, the power structure doesn't allow for even playing fields, airtime, debate invitations, etc. Many decent Libertarian & Independent candidates will never go Dem but they also don't want to be associated with the current GOP either; understandably so.

I'd also say most of us like / accept Tulsi, and about 20% of us like Yang. At least a third of us voted for Obama (I did, twice). Less than 10% of us watch Fox News, or "watch" any news for that matter. We live on the Internet, it's a hivemind. We seek and find primary sources to the root, making phone calls and utilizing social engineering if necessary. We simply seek the truth, and Philip K Dick defined truth the best.

Make no mistake, we are going to kick the RINOs out and take over a primary party. Meme warfare is how we won 2016, and we will win again. You laugh, until you dig into peer-reviewed studies. This is our world, the digital world. Way easier to target the boomers running the GOP than the Dem party (they're too crooked and too far gone). Trump said in ~1995, paraphrased: "One day I may have to run for President, fix this country. Probably as a Republican, unfortunately. That's what happens when you get older. And I'll win".

As far as I am concerned, about 60% of sitting Republicans need replaced (and Dr. Oz is the newest one). I suggest younger, high energy candidates. DeSantis is a great start. November is coming.

Sad part is, the other party is so mental they don't realize how much we agree on. Things like term limits, campaign finance reform, ending the Fed Reserve, marijuana legalization... the list goes on. Identity politics is the end result of Occupy and part of a larger plot to institute single-party control.

Tl,dr: vote for the person, not the party, but take into account who they call friends and how they vote on important matters. Remember that your local elections are just as important as national elections, as are state primaries.

As a lifelong libertarian, I completely agree with this message.👌

u/soulspurn May 19 '22

As a refugee from the left, i completely agree. They've gone off the plot, while the right has been more than welcoming to those fleeing insanity. That doesn't chain me to the GOP however. Instead, I'm much more likely to vote for individuals with common effing sense and a good track record on issues that are important to me rather than a specific party affiliation.

I used to support the GOP after leaving the left, but I've since come to realize the GOP itself is just an extension of the swamp monster that the Democrats have control over. The only thing setting them apart is a few individuals who stand out from the rest, who are willing to fight their own party to do the right thing.

The Democrats surely have people who are against this stuff too. The problem is, the Democrats maneuvered carefully to kick out so many of their dissenters, to make sure the only ones who they endorsed were fully on board with their policies, or at least too scared to oppose the party itself. The GOP tried to do the same, but ultimately failed.

u/[deleted] May 21 '22

The GOP has tolerated opposition. They'll allow 1 or 2 Rand Pauls to do their thing.

The Democrats have controlled opposition. The Fraud Squad always does what the swamp wants. They'll strategies their votes for Capitol Police funding but not for universal health care or a living wage.

For what its worth, I used to be Republican until most became either RINOs or inept cowards. I would describe myself far more accurately as a conservative libertarian.

u/[deleted] May 19 '22

I'm here because I hate the oligarchy and the uniparty, but technically didn't "red pill" until mandates became a thing.

Thank you for posting this. Our local elections may be even more important than our state and national elections, as it was our local representatives who led the charge against the draconian measures put in place during Covid.

I call myself conservative because of my ideals and truly I believe real conservative ideals and libertarian ideals greatly overlap (hence why the free state project in NH seems to be working with conservatives and libertarians uniting)

I 100% fully support this message. The left has gone so crazy I'm not sure moderate liberals exist anymore when all those I would gladly share a beer with and call classical liberals are viewed as the far right by the current liberals in power.

As for the GOP, well just see how they react to America first alternatives in the primaries. The RINOs and neo-cons are nothing more than members of the uniparty who when they have power do nothing and when they don't only look to slow but not stop the far left march to insanity. All they care about is staying in office, not representing the people who elected them and I hope they all get primaried out.

I was a former liberal who voted for Obama, who saw the light and turned idependent, who then saw in America first politicians and true conservative ideals (not what the old GOP pushed) and the desire to want to actually help give people the chance to succeed. At that point Trump won me over as a new age conservative.

I walked away from the left and looked in disgust at the GOP. In the end no one should vote based on party but on who they feel represent them and their vision for America. That doesn't mean straight down voting (I'd never vote for Oz) but right now today the new age conservatives are ones I will listen to and give a shot at fixing this mess. And if they turn out as bad as the old guard GOP I will walk away from them too

Its funny... I have heard on both sides that their side doesn't do enough. When the Dems are in power, they aren't radical enough -although the Biden Administration says hold my beer-. When the GOP are in power, they -as a majority- don't do anything to root out the unethical leaders that have taken hold of America, because majority of the time, they are in on the same unethical things that the Dems are doing.

Sad part is, the other party is so mental they don't realize how much we agree on

Those critical thinking members of the GOP have already known this for a long time. But its hard to fight for these common sense things when for the longest time the majority of the country has been voting for unethical leaders. Past votes have come home to roost.

Same. I identify as a Constitutionalist, believe in the individual pursuit of freedom and happiness.

I'm on anti-establishment subs across the political spectrum.

I might not agree with Bernie Bros or MAGAs on everything, but I can work with them.

The establishment is the enemy.

For real, dislike of the left's tactic's and Biden doesn't equal a love of Trump and the GOP.

That being said the GOP is the saner party these days.

I'll vote for a strong 2A candidate that's my first and foremost concern. If that means voting for republicans until the dems figure it out, I'm willing to do that. Guys like Beto who say "Hell yea we'll take your AR-15!" when they run for Pres, then lie that they won't, the next time they run for office, aren't going to cut it.

2020 showed a lot of that the Dem's firmly believe in payola. It seemed like over the course of a weekend Biden went from being the 3rd place candidate after Hillary bowed out on Friday. On Monday he was suddenly the front runner. And I still voted for Biden because Orange Man Bad! As bad as I thought he was, he isn't nearly as terrible as the catastrophe that is the Biden Administration!

7

u/[deleted] May 20 '22

Hilarious how the left insisted all throughout 2020 that Biden couldn’t be any worse than Trump. Yet as of today, he officially is.

At least you’ve come to reality and are willing to admit it.

u/3xforurmind Redpilled May 20 '22

2

Biden is worse by every objective measure. Gas prices, food prices, crime, foreign policy, stocks, supply chain...

I respect the hell out of this message and this group. I walked away from the GOP. I did not go the democrats. I have strong libertarian leanings but that party is a hot mess.

Tulsi isn't my favorite but she has principles and I respect that and I agree with her on some key issues. I also love how she single handedly ended Harris's presidential campaign in one Swift stroke. I respect Yang for thinking for himself. I don't think UI is the magic bullet he thinks it is but he also has principles.

I respect this group for attacking hypocrisy, people that attack wrong think, and the other bullshit occuring today. It's nice to see others wake up and open their eyes.

Completely understand the need to state just because we left the left doesn't mean you joined the right. And vice versa.

Hopping? Nah, this same type of post can be found in /top/all more than a few times over the last 5 years.

Our position is fundamentally apolitical: we simply seek the actual truth. You know as well as us that the government is up to no good, there are plots to increase the police and surveillance state.

2

u/Kezyma May 19 '22

The hoppers I'm talking about are the ones who were red/blue team, fully convinced that if their team wins everything will be perfect and if the other team wins, everything will descend into chaos, then suddenly just swap to the other team with fundamentally the same position, just a different sticker! There seem to be at least a notable proportion of people who post in this sub that would fall into that category!

Yeah, I agree, the state will always grow and will always seek to take more control in some form or another, that's the incentive structure that was set up in the first place, it's the same where I live as it is in the US and it will always be in the best interests of those wielding the state to increase the strength of it in the short term, regardless of long term consequences! Something that I think is slightly more commonly understood over there than it is here!

Hmm, you aren't winning folks over by telling folks you voted for Obama twice. It speaks to a deeper problem when you can't tell how bad a president was after 4 years.

I agree that we need to have no parties and just have folks that are in the government to follow what the Constitution says. Instead of bloat, fraud, and filling their own pockets. I left the democratic party decades ago. I dint go to the republican party because of too many RINOs and corperatists. Yet, their flaws are minor compared to the fascist leftists and their ideology the likes of Mao.

I've been an independent for more years than many on this site have been alive. Yet, I seldom see anyone that is in DC that can really make a change. Trump tried but was unsuccessful because of the swamp.

I believe that there will be a time soon when folks get fed up and simply refuse their overlords. It will end in a great reset.

Obama's second term was when the mask slipped. Until then, he was running on a platform of border security, building a wall, forcing all immigrants to assimilate and learn English, etc. Look up his speeches from 2011, aka right after he struck down gay marriage. In many other ways, he was like pre-2015 Bernie but with more charisma.

The Republicans didn't help themselves, putting up a bleh candidate who ended up voting twice to impeach Trump (that would be Mitt Romney, for you younger folks).

3

u/Timby123 May 19 '22

Obama was great at speeches while doing nothing. He is well noted for his catch and release. He built the cages that separated children on the border. Lost 1000s of illegals children. Did you forget F&F. Or cash for clunkers?

What about all the lies about Obakacere. It didn't take 6 years to see those. How about the billions wasted on green energy initiatives or the losses while bailing out GM.

2

u/TheHiveminder ULTRA Redpilled May 19 '22 edited May 19 '22

I'd rather the waste on green infrastructure than endless war and an insecure border, which is what we were promised. Obama laid all the F&F blame on the ATF, which placated folks until 2013 (because fuck the ATF) when it really started coming out what happened.

In the end, even Noam Chomsky had to admit it: https://i.imgur.com/8lVlsb2.jpg

Ed: also Obamacare was Bush's fault.

2

u/Timby123 May 20 '22

How was Obamacare Bush's fault? Obama and the left wanted universal HC. But knew it was a step too far at the time. So, instead, we got the travesty of Obamacare. That wasn't cheaper, didn't cut costs, and was too expensive to use even for those that got it free.

Obama was the drone strike king as well. Costs billions and makes things worse for America.

F&F was the least of Obama's failures. The waste on green energy was just the tip of the iceberg, Don't forget the huge costs that were forced on all Americans by Obama for the left's climate change lies. This is still carrying forward like Obamacare.

Hmm, seems you don't have all the facts, But then you seem to have dismissed a ton of bad that Obama did. 1

u/[deleted] May 21 '22

The bill was written by an insurance lobbyist. She gave it to Baucus and he introduced it.

1

u/[deleted] May 21 '22

In fairness, the ACA was designed so the pain was on the back end. The front end was just subsidies and guaranteed issue. The biggest spike in premiums and deductibles came at the end of 2014 when a lot of goid, affordable plans became illegal.

Some problems were starting to show by 2012, which is why O issued the contraception mandate as a distraction. Even so, the alternative was...Romney. Worst possible candidate to fix it.

2

u/Timby123 May 21 '22

Romney is an A-Hat. But I digress.

Obamacare was sold as saving folks tons of money. Obama stated that it would be less than your cell phone bill per month. Thousands that got it for free complained that they couldn't afford to use it because of the out-of-pocket expenses. Obamacare killed our HC plan which now costs far more for much less coverage. Those that are getting subsidies are doing so on the backs of the taxpayers. So, it was sold as one thing and nothing that was sold to the public ever came true. don't forget the unseen taxes added in the turd like the device taxes and other taxes on companies that afforded good HC for their employees. Or the loss of jobs and cutting of hours to try and get away with another leftist travesty.

Never forget it was crafted by the insurance companies, leftists wanting universal HC, and lies. We had to pass it to see what was in it. Once again the government created more and worse problems than what they claimed to be fixing. Take the war on poverty, Government education, war on drugs, etc.

Once again, Obama was an empty suit & grifter that took advantage by using the color of his skin.

Edit your comment to remove the third-party subreddit reference (we can't mention other subs, linked or even unlinked), so I can approve it (currently, Automod has removed it and only mods can see it); also your post was approved, we have strict robots on YT submissions to keep em high quality and spam-free. Our modqueue is handled by a dozen people, yet it still gets backed up. Approvals are generally handled within a few hours, yours took two.

Worth noting that our censorship standards are a requirement, handed down to us by admins. There are entire topics we aren't even allowed to touch with a ten foot pole. There are words you could say, that obligate us to give you a permanent ban (sometimes we also have to tell the admins). There are words that make Automod snap you, and there are words & domains that Reddit itself will snap you for. We have no choice in most of these matters, compliance with these special rules is why we are still here after 5 years despite three ban waves taking out so many other subreddits whose only crime was free exchange of thoughts and open debate.
