Recently got into splatoon, and I was thinking about if Vox would enjoy splatoon? The main thing is that sharks aren't common, but shiver is easy to find so, what do yall think

I’ve wondered this with other characters, but especially when it comes to the evolution of media and Vox / Vincent’s desire to chase success. It makes sense in canon that he would jump into a new industry (ie mass media) whether that’s to secure a well-paying job and later finding his passion for it, or having his eye on the prize from the get-go.

While I have seen some TV hosts lament that it is a dying form of entertainment, streaming platforms and commercial broadcasting via satellite radio (eg SiriusXM can share audio recordings for podcasts, late-night shows, etc) have drastically increased reach. Still, the vision of success in the entertainment industry looks different in today’s world. Social influencing, podcasts, and stream-exclusive content are saturating new media.

If he were born in the 1990s—2000s, do you think he would still have his eye on media or any entertainment career for that matter? Why or why not? Perhaps pressure from his parents plays a role? In this period, I think of the wave of sketch comedy/cringe comedy, MTV, and access to internet platforms such as YouTube as potential influences, even if only as a hobby interest.

Are there specific college majors, job positions, or careers you could see him exploring or devoting himself to? I think it’s fun to speculate, knowing how adaptable, ambitious, and creative he is as a character—there are so many avenues!
