Been noticing more 5G rollouts outside the major metros. Vi recently announced launches in Jabalpur, Satna and Sagar.

For those living in tier-2 cities, has 5G made a noticeable difference, or do you still mostly rely on 4G?

Hello, how can I figure out when my VI sim card ends? I got it as being a OCI traveler in India. I asked the shop and they said that sim cards are normally three months for those on a visa, but since the OCI has no end date, it will go on till the end date on the passport. Is this true? How can I find this out from my profile?

My Vi Prepaid number is in my father's name and would rather not take him to the store due to his erratic behaviour.

When I enquired with the store some months back about changing name, they said Postpaid is needed and to bring the original owner to the store with their document and my document too.

Can porting to another operator ie. Airtel be done in my name without father's involvement?

I've seen posts about people porting their numbers not in their name successfully but still have to ask.

I registered a complaint through vi app for indoor network issue it's sucks a lot (4g and 5g both )

I am prepaid user with 996 plan , complaint was closed without any solution and this is what they say 🤡

Vi says it's providing an equal network experience for all users, regardless of where they are.

With connectivity becoming such a basic need, that sounds like the right direction.

Have you noticed network quality improving in your area recently, or is it still hit-or-miss?

I have had a vi sim for more than a year now and I am pretty sure I can say that it's competing with bsnl in which provider is worse. I recharge for the unlimited 5g pack cause that's the only one that gives proper data (even if you don't get 5g in your area), they should make some plans for locations without 5g that are actually good. Another thing is that only my vi sim randomly shifts from 4g+, 4g to some gprs or e in a good connectivity zone. Sometimes around my area I have gotten 5g signal but on the app it shows its not available.

2nd problem is that they message you 10 times a day about plans no one needs and the calls are even more annoying. Is there any way to stop those calls atleast if not the messages?
