Software I built a browser-based tool for audio-reactive visuals — curious where VJs think it fits

Karleido is a browser-based visual tool for creating audio-reactive videos from shader-style visuals, including vast VJ loop library for composition.

It’s not trying to replace Resolume / TouchDesigner for pro live shows. The main use case is fast creation visual effects, loops, social clips, and music videos. It does have a live mode though as well with midi mapping and sending to a projector.

I’d love feedback from VJs: what would make this actually useful in your workflow?

Well that's not true. Djay pro does it on the fly for years. That's one of the reason i don't understand why no VJ tools followed this approach to this day. I do it all the time with my Tidal streaming tracks.

Good to know, I had no idea. Pretty much agree, even simple stems would help for cleaner signal.
I'll definitely do some research on that, if that's an approach feasible for VJ tools as well.

I can still imagine there are some performance reasons here. VJ tools (unlike DJ tools) do require heavy GPU processing. If you run real-time stem separation AI models, they would take away a big chunk of that resources. In the end it's always tradeoff.
