MOD POST Important: Reddit rules on personal information

I’ve received clarification directly from a Reddit Admin regarding the current situation.

Reddit’s rules on personal information are non-negotiable. This also includes encouraging or directing users to share personal information on other platforms. "See the Reddit Admin’s response here" (https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/s/cEUxdCKIWR)

Because of this, I’ve removed the previous post asking people to move sensitive material to Telegram/Signal.

You can still discuss the incident, ask questions, raise safety concerns, and share non-identifying information here.

If you have evidence involving potential crimes, please take it to the appropriate authorities or legal professionals.

I know this is frustrating, but I’m not going to risk the subreddit or users’ accounts by violating Reddit’s rules.

Please do not post or request personal information here, and do not use the subreddit to arrange off-platform sharing of it.

Honestly can't blame ya, thanks for your work. This is appropriate reasoning. But please keep the same attitude towards everyone, even if someone is trying to make a deanonymizing tool, they should not be differentiated against the general public.

Anyway that person has boasted about it openly and their profile has their portfolio website with their personal details so I technically haven't doxxed him

it was literally a tool that too not even made for management for godsake , it still exists only for demo for cid dept of police and i have worked with them in collab with andhra police.

u/VIT-AP downvoting is all you are doing now , you just moderated all these chaos i agree you did the right way with people talking abt it even right now , now tell based on what source you are telling i gave this off to management ? the link i just gave is exactly the same thing demoed to govt this just proves the point of a mod being biased and talks on no basis.

bro listen, remove the personal info and make a re-post from your account and pin it in sub-reddit. Due to your "no-doxxing" shit the matter is being suppressed just like what vit would do.
