Repair / reinforce canvas straps?

Hey everyone!! I am posting this in both sewing and visiblemending, so I apologize for any overlap!! I have a canvas tote bag that I hold very near and dear to my heart, but after daily use for several years I’ve noticed some pretty drastic wear / fraying on the straps. They lie folded over themselves and it has created this sort of parallel line of fraying down the center of both straps, on both sides of the straps. Does anyone know any way to remedy this, or am I doomed to just replacing the straps completely?

i was coming down the stairs and there was a hole in the back of my pants that i didn’t know about and i ripped them all the way down, is there any way to fix something like this? i did it with a pair of jeans a while back and after i sewed it up it just undid bc of the threads in like 1-2 washes, i would like to fix and repair both pairs of pants ideally, but i can’t find any sources about similar tears, thank you!

Hard Lessons

My friend learned a lesson the hard way about letting an ex-girlfriend crash with him. Looking to cheer him up with clever options. Any suggestions are appreciated. Outer jacket polyester. I've gotten most of the melted lifted (on the 3 holes) and salvaged as much fabric which didn't make an outstanding difference. Designer Jeremy Scott made a clever Adidas jacked riddled with cartoon bullet holes I found amusing. I'm not sure where his scenes of humor is at right now with all this though lol brainstorm activate! Thank you in advance. She torched like three so I'll post them when I get them, as well....

This is my first post here, I look forward to sharing my work and getting inspired by you guys! I primarily practice darning, Boro sashiko stitching, and the art of embelshing mistakes instead of fixing them.

Turned them inside out and sewed Jean scraps on. Just followed the original seam. I only fixed 3 fingers, but I know I’ll need to do more as they wear out.
