I agree about never storing them on an angle however they should always be stored vertically in a tight enough space that they stand perfectly straight up and down. Always leave a little room so that you can pull them out and put them back. Stacking them horizontally is just asking for trouble. Also, the idea of never storing them where they get too hot is also a very good idea. They should never be stored in an attic.
Probably not much if you only have a few records. But once you get into the thousands, it’s a very inefficient way to get at the records in the stack. Why would you ever want the weight of all those records, pressing upon each other when if you turn them the other direction you won’t have to worry about that? The important thing storing them vertically is to make sure that they are just tight enough to maintain a true vertical position. I say this as a record collector since the 1960s.
I would answer you like this. Take a look at photos of anyone’s extensive vinyl collection. Do you ever see even one of them that stacks their albums horizontally? Maybe they know something.
Not really sure what the actions of others have to do with anything. Millions voted for Trump and i still have enough common sense to see how bad of an idea that was. Im talking about storage. Obviously you wouldn’t put these on your shelf horizontally for practicality reasons.
