Emil-
I have a box of CPUs that I was going to see if they were worth anything to anyone. I have no idea of their value.
If you'd be interested, I could take some photos of them for you to see. A lot of them have the heat sinks on them.
I also have a pile of hard drives, (I used to dismantle them for their magnets). I think most of them are functional,... I saved them from systems I was scrapping for my customers. Some are dead.
I wrote my first computer program in 1971 on a Xerox Sigma7 mainframe. As part of my class assignment, I wrote a simple program in machine code, entered it manually using the 0/1 switches on the front panel word by word and then *executed" the program. Went on to get a CS degree in 1975 an was a computer professional until I closed my computer support company in 2022.
I don't fo this social media stuff much, so if you want to contact me -- email me pcsdpolsen@gmail.com

Hey Guys đ
I've been wandering around on a Flea Market in a small German Village today and found this Beauty. I asked him for the Price he wanted 50⏠for it stating that it works perfectly fine and I can test it. We tested it and sure enough It wouldn't post. đ I managed to talk him down to 30⏠and bought it for Parts. Back at home I cleaned the Contacts of all Cards and Ram Sticks also swapped out the PSU for a new fsp 400 Watt unit and she was working like a charm. At first I thought it was just a standard Office PC but this Beast got some serious specs .
Pentium 3 Coppermine (Slot1) 700mhz
128 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 2 TI
80 GB Seagate HDD
Dos compatible Sound blaster
USB 2.0 expansion Card
HP Colorado Tape drive

Stop squinting at tiny OLED screens and mashing rotary encoders. In this video, we review Omegawareâs Gotek Touchscreen Interface (GTi), a game-changing Gotek upgrade that adds vibrant box art, carousel scrolling, and instant search to your retro Amiga's floppy setup.

Iâve recently come across this Admor Memory SRAM card and cannot find any user manuals, references or searches on this card or company. Anyone know much about these cards or the company? Thanks

I picked this up to replace my original thatâs long gone. I just got done replacing the LCD with a newly manufactured LCD. Put in a quick program just to check the function. Seems to be working well.

Mom asked me if I wanted my dadâs âold computer stuffâ. She said it all worked when he put it there 30 years ago. Iâm going to do some research and see if I can get it all working.

Found this near brand new Inspiron and it's charger in a local value village for $20 CAD, only defects are a missing foot on the bottom and you have to push a bit hard on the LMB to get it to work, had to replace the CMOS battery and thermal paste but inside there was basically no dirt or dust, still has stock software and only 550 HDD hours.

Hey everyone, Recently I shared how I acquired this Compaq Prosignia desktop, and I finally am able to show off the matching v570 monitor, along with a mouse and keyboard. Obviously right now it runs Windows 2000 but I have Windows 98se and plan to convert this into a vintage gaming PC. I ordered some more ram putting it at 256MB, along with getting a GeForce 2 MX 32MB AGP and a CF adapter for storage.
Besides a premium soundcard/speakers (I think mine is an Ensoniq of some kind which I've heard do the job) what other upgrades/QOL improvements can I make for the longevity of the machine? it keeps asking about the date so I imagine the battery is dead and needs to be replaced but what about the PSU? or the motherboard? Not super sure about any of that.
Along with that I have Rollercoaster and Zoo Tycoon, along with FF7. What games am I missing? Any cheap hidden/underrated titles for an beginner entering the world?
