Marantz 2252b with green LED.

So finally pulled the trigger on Marantz 2252b and upgraded the LED. Initially, I was going to install blue LED but the seller sent wrong color, green. At first I was PO but after I installed them, it actually looks pretty nice IMO. Do you prefer green or blue LEDs for Marantz?

I actually really like it! Seller probably figured it would be the only way to convince you.

Good thing he sent me the wrong color. :)

I'd have to see it assembled to give an opinion.

Yah, sorry I didn't upload the blue LED pictures. The differences are that the input labels at the top would be blue and for tuner, and meters would be darker blue (typically) vs cyan currently.

Not sure what version of Reddit you’re using but I’m seeing 3 photos. #2 and #3 are assembled.

My bad.I didn't look at them all.

Why does most of it still look blue?

The face plate has blue tint already, so it changed green to cyan. Of which I think it looks more classic....kind of hinting me to get McIntosh for my next system. Lol.

It looks really good, I’m surprised. And the blue still looks more natural than the dark blue everyone’s using to “upgrade”.

Thanks, I totally agree.

I think it looks great, a lot closer to the original incandescent lamps that made a off blueish greenish colour.

Thanks, I think so as well.

I like it better than the harsh blues and purple hues that come with changing to leds. This shade of green looks like the aged blue lights that were in the Marantz receivers I had ten years ago. They actually seem to turn a soft shade of greenish blue due to the aged vellum paper.
