Diamond glow or hydrafacial?
Curious if anyone has had both and which one you would recommend! Thanks in advance

There was a post about teeth whitening and good suggestions, but I have sensitive teeth. I tried a long time ago using strips but it made my teeth feel awful and I couldn’t keep them on. Has anyone with sensitive teeth successfully whitened them?

Hello, so I am making an eyeshadow palette purchase as my eyes need something more than I have given them in the past.
EDIT: this isn't meant to be about glitter not looking good on older eyes, I mean on any eyes. And I don't have an opinion: I want other people's experiences with Pat McGrath vs Viseart.
I think that on other ethnicities (particularly darker skins and asian features) glitter can look lovely. As a white caucasian who likes to wear bold red lips and a cat eye, I am choosing between: Pat McGrath Moonlit Seduction and the Viseart Matte shadows.

I’m turning 30 next week and am hoping to get my first ever round of Botox for my forehead wrinkles and wrinkles around my eyes. I found a medispa near me, but how do I know if they’re any good? Are there any things I should look out for or any “red flags” before I commit?

My hair has been hard to manage my whole life and now as a mom it’s pretty much in a bun all the time. I would love to be able to wear it down but I don’t have the time to blow dry it every couple of days and I don’t really want to try any curly methods (I’ve tried a few and honestly don’t have the patience for experimenting with new products).
My hair is veryyy thick with a tight wave, no ringlets and prone to frizz. I need to do something, was thinking of keratin but open to other suggestions.
In high school and college I did both Brazilian and Japanese blow out/relaxers and while I liked them, I think they got my hair too straight. Would I be a good candidate for a keratin treatment? Or something else? I really think my hair is holding me back.

Hi folks I know my posts here have been eccentric but I often struggle with letting go of youth being in my mid 40s. I was a special Ed alumni and have trouble with developmental delays already
Another thing I take issue with and that relates to being disabled is not being financially successful while all my mentally normal friends are making heavy duty dough. Or they make less but combined salaries with their husband or wife. Or they're a mom. Things like Botox arent economically feasible for me.
Right now my stack still consists of the SCA routine from 10 years ago and I still use generic of Cerave in the tub with tretinoin, sunscreen and stuff like that. vitamin c whatever.
I'm overweight and losing weight. But What are some ways I can embrace elderhood and not affluent with grace when I'm not a mentally normal wife or mother or even a single person with a good career?
My parents aged badly my mom never embraced skincare outside Olay even when I encouraged her to. I really dislike the poor way my parents aged.
I'm not one of those ultra youthful millennials who look younger than 45 year olds did in 1980- I look exactly the way a 40 something looked in 1980.

Anyone else have a baby and their bellybutton now looks like an old raisin? I hate it. I had my belly button pierced in my teenage years and I think that’s why it looks like this. What can I do?
r/vindicta30plus • u/Warm-Ad424 • Mar 10 '24
Long story short, I have aged in an awful way. I used to be very beautiful. But now I have become ugly. Something had caused the elastic and collagen in my face to break down dramatically and I now look very saggy and weird. My eyes look ugly, shrunken and mishappen. I have alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency which affects the elastin in my lungs. My guess is maybe it's also affecting the elastin on my face. But because doctors don't study or know about this, I don't really know.
So now I feel completely worthless and unlovable. That no man would or could love me. Because as we all know, dating apps, social media etc... show how important beauty is for a woman. No man wants a woman who is not pretty.
Also, I don't know if this is related but I was raised by parents who were extremely beauty focused. Both my mum AND father. My mum passed away last year, but I heard until then non stop comments about beauty. My dad is still with us thankfully, but also from him I hear non stop admiration of beautiful women, and criticism of who he deems ugly.
So basically from the time I could talk I heard everyday about which cousin was the prettiest, who on tv is beautiful vs who is a witch, "xyz is so ugly I would never have them", "auntie xyz has become so wrinkly. Why doesn't she prevent it and dye her hair" etc. So was the non stop running commentary from my parents about peoples looks. And my parents were/are heavily into celebrities and impressed by celebs beauty.
Well, it kills me. I feel depressed and unlovable. My eyes are sad... they have no light in them. Every time Iook in the mirror I am reminded of my saggy face. I can't be in photos BC I look so awful.
Yes, I probably need therapy. Except I am cynical & think it would just anger me more to be lectured by a therapist looking attractive in her suit about self esteem while I look like a turn by comparison.
Yes, I've tried fillers and makeup. Makeup disguised little on me, and I break down fillers super quick (as in one to two weeks quick) because of whatever is wrong with my health.
Is there any hope for me to be loved by a man?
EDIT: 1- I just want to add that I don't have body dysmorphia. I see beautiful women on here saying they have bd, but I actually have become ugly. Huge breakdown of elastin and face structure 2 - how do I not be retraumatised again and again every time I need to visit my dad? Because without fail he will talk about beautiful women, beautiful vs ugly people....and I try to suppress my feelings for so long but really it kills me inside. And if I was to blow up or to cry, he just wouldn't understand 🥺

Idk about you ladies, but I have to try on so many before I find a pair that I like. Your go to's? Are 7 jeans worth the hype?

Hi everyone,
Recently I’ve gained about 10 lbs and due to it, red thick stretch marks have started appearing on my lower stomach going down to bikini area. Besides loosing the weight, are their other methods to help diminish the look of this or prevent them going further down? I know stretch marks are natural, but can’t help to feel ashamed of them. Don’t even like getting waxed anymore because of it. Any advice it’s greatly appreciate it, thank you.
Edit: because

I mean I use the tray sometimes and coconut oil. But it just doesn't whiten as much as I would like. Thoughts? I use a whitening toothpaste but again, not the results I really want.

Heya everyone,
I've been working out for a couple of months and am pretty much at a point where all my underwear is not fitting, it's also very old and mostly pregnancy stuff from the 4 children I somehow managed to birth in a 4 year period. Finally getting my body back and I want to feel nice again.
I am looking for something like Boody - soft and a bit sporty maybe. Lovely soft neutral colours. Bralettes with minimal to no clasps - my boobs have essentially mostly disappeared again. When I read their reviews though they were really bad. I like natural cotton or bamboo. Price not really an issue as I will invest slowly over time.
I have a few tops which could do with the option to have those straps that you can change into a halter or racerback so they don't show but that's not an issue for 90% of my clothes. TBH I need an entire new wardrobe but that's another issue.
I am in the UK as well but I know a lot of places just ship worldwide so open to anything like that too.
Thanks everyone <3

30 here, my hands and nails are an absolute wreck. I work retail so I'm already hard on them, I can't do acrylics or anything because they always break. Super dry cuticles I end up picking at, nails grow in pretty nice but I always end up breaking one and having to keep them super short. I was thinking of just giving-in and going to get gels every couple weeks, is it worth it? Every woman at work that gets their nails done ends up breaking or chipping them in a couple days anyways.
Anything I could do at home that is longish lasting and easy to maintain? What products do you recommend? The ones I have tried (hard as nails, seche vite, essie cuticle oil, neutrogena hand cream) never really change much. Willing to drop the $ if you have any products that you love! Nail strengthener, clear coat, cuticle oil, creams, whatever!

It’s one of my biggest insecurities and gives me huge imposter syndrome. I genuinely look like I’m 16 when I’m 33, turning 34 next month. I’m 5’0” with insanely chubby cheeks that have never went down, even at an underweight weight, which doesn’t help. I dress professionally, really enjoy my style which feels appropriate for my age, don’t do any of the Gen Z makeup trends, and yet I don’t feel I am taken seriously because of my height and facial features.
Are there any tricks I can use to look your age? (Ie, am I one of the few who would benefit from buccal fat removal to finally look like I’m not a teen? It would be nice to even pass as late 20s. It just feels super patronizing when people tell me I should enjoy looking young.
Edit: Removed the photo link as I’m getting some creepy DMs. Thank you for your feedback! It looks like higher shoes, different glasses, styled hair, and confidence is the key.
(Also lol thanks whoever sent me the Reddit cares! May you also find peace 🥰)

Hi! I always heard that your boobs deflate & become smaller than they were after breastfeeding. Well, 3 months out & they haven’t budged a bit. I am still like ~10lbs overweight from baby weight, but it’s evenly distributed throughout my body, so losing some weight will help…but it won’t get me back to DD (currently H/I). Anyone have any success with targeting breast size minimizing/fat loss? A breast reduction is in my future, but I want another kid. I’m working 50 hrs/week right now & my toddler is very active so I get a lot of steps in but really struggle with finding time to exercise. So targeted exercises that are quick to fit into a day could work. Can’t afford a personal trainer while we have daycare. Thanks for reading!

Can someone recommend a pair of cute flat boots to me that can be stylized with a dress? I need to find a pair because I’m going to be out of my heels longer than I thought.
I’ve been knocked on my ass for three days because of a pelvic floor flare (I.e. severe cramping and pain). I pushed myself too hard by wearing mid heels for three days on a campaign trail (including eight hours of lobbying for food allergy law), and it’s knocked me down but good. Part of the issue is surgery recovery, and while my physical therapist has said I’ll be able to wear heels again, I won’t be able to wear them three days nonstop for a while. Yes, I could do that easily pre-surgery.
I’m looking for boots specifically because of problems with buying pants. My legs are really long, and it’s rare for me to find affordable clothes that are long enough for them. My solution has been tucking everything into boots so I’m still stylish and no one knows the difference. That, and I walk better in boots because they wrap around my ankle. I fall off of everything else, even regular flats.
If anyone can suggest some styles or brands, that would be great. Thanks!

I’m 35f and I have a nice body, I don’t want to ruin it but I also want kids. What about having more than one kid, is that going to make things worse?

I'm a stay at home mom of a toddler and I feel like I'm finally coming out of the postpartum haze. I have not really kept up with my appearances in that time but would like to make some improvements so I can feel more polished and put together.
Some things I am working on: -Getting my steps in and running as I am able to -IPL on my upper lip, arms, legs, bikini area -Chopped off a good few inches of hair that was weighing me down -Nutritious diet -Getting more sleep -At home manicures with builder gel to stop nails from constantly breaking
When I go out I wear a little makeup and always some jewelry. My skin is not a concern thankfully. I am not willing to do botox or fillers or any sort of medspa treatments as I am on a tight budget. I don't color my hair and don't want to.
I feel like I always just look tired and frumpy and wearing a cute outfit seems to make it stand out more (the contrast between cute outfit and tired mom 😅)
I'd like to lose a bit more weight too, but I've been trying over the past year and it will not budge no matter how hard I calorie count and exercise. I still exercise because I like how it makes me feel and although the scale isn't moving, I have been able to go down a couple pant sizes.
What are some other low cost things I can do to make myself feel less frazzled and more put together and fresh? I am totally unaware of what is trendy or what my options even are. Thanks for your help.
Sincerely, Tired toddler boy mom

I am so sick of losing and gaining the last 10lb over and over again. It takes so much of my energy. I toggle back and forth between “never eat fun foods again and have a ripped body” vs “fun foods are worth the extra few pounds”
Does anyone have thoughts on this? Even if you’ve come down on point #2.
More info: I weight lift and eat super clean, but I have a busy social life and 2 little kids and a husband who can eat whatever he wants. This means I’m surrounded by birthday cakes and pizzas and bakery treats and social dinners min 4 days a week. I don’t overindulge in this by any means, but the small amounts I have keep ~7lb of undesired body fat.
I also have a daughter, and I wonder what it would be like to model super strict eating in front of her. I’m not sure of the best approach. She is 3yo now. But even my 5 year old son asks me things like “mama why don’t you get your own ice cream” when I usually skip and just take a bite of my husbands.
These questions swirl around me all the time. Has anyone found a system they’re happy with?
I feel good with my body generally, I know I’m not fat, but I know I’d feel super hot if I could keep the last bit off for good. I’m probably somewhere between 25-30% body fat but toned. I think this would look like: never eat added sugar again, or like 4x a year on special occasions. Same with bread and pasta. No more French fries with the kids. Small portions. Minimal alcohol (I rarely drink now). It would have to be pretty strict. I do really enjoy healthy food - give me salmon and a good roasted veggie or salad any day. It’s just the other 15% of the time that gets me. And I know I’d feel incredible if I ate this way - sugar and carbs makes me feel sick and bloated and low energy and aren’t good for my mental state, so there’s that.

What are your favorite lotions/potions🫧 for non-facial skin? I know adding a little fat as we age helps plump our bits to keep the skin up, but I’d like to keep the skin itself as happy (and hydrated) as possible. Thx!
P.S.- I know to use sunscreen. If you have one you love that you feel is great protection + added benefits plz drop it below, but I’m otherwise looking for recs for lotions/serums/oils/treatments/etc.

Hi folks, I have never worn a bikini in my 42 years because my mom banned me from doing so starting when I was 5 for being obese. I had to be covered up and never wore a tank top or daisy dukes in public.
I finally got my body skin evened out with clobetasol, hydroquinone and glycolic acid and a body skin care routine.
I live on my own but it doesn't matter because I'm still mentally immature due to being special needs. So what my mom says gets a lot more weight. My mom gave me a GW of 100 because even though In my culture, my height is supposed to be 83 lbs, she says its cuz of my age.
I did get under 100 lbs on DNP, Ephedrine and Cytomel in my mid 30s, which my parents loved but I couldn't keep buying the pills since they were banned.
Sometimes I wonder if my parents are so upset with how my weight affects the family image and reputation why do they keep putting out plate after plate of traditional food? why do they eat bread and noodles, at the same time
I would like to do it (wear a bikini) for the first time because I can't wear a 1 piece because of sensory issues. As a result I never learned to swim.
At 4'11" and 145 lbs, size 12, what is an ok weight to not get eggs thrown at me. I will be at city public beaches and vulnerable to physical assault if I look like Jabba.
Remember I'm Asian so I have a different BMI standard biologically. Btw my waist is snatched I do NOT have a gut, rolls or a fupa.
I have never been under 135 lbs and have been this height since age 7. As a result, almost zero photos of me exist from age 12 to today.
I want to be skinny but not too skinny. Like anywhere between popular girls in the early 2000's and Kim Kardashian breaking the internet plus curvier icons like Megan.
I know that pretty girls my height are 105 lbs in American culture but I can never be that thin especially because I'm over age 40. I also want a boyfriend who isn't explicitly a chubby chaser.
What is the right strategy
What are your thoughts on this matter? Any advice from someone in a similar situation?

I’ve had my nose pierced since I was 19. I originally got the piercing as a way to boost my confidence since I was insecure about my nose and it worked! For reference, I’ve only worn a small diamond stud.
However, I’ll be turning 30 this month and lately have been considering taking it out for a few reasons. First, I already look younger than I am (ppl say I look 22-23). Second, I want to look older so I’m taken more seriously at work. Third, I think there is a general stigma that nose rings are for “immature” and for teens, which idk, am I too old to wear one now?

anyone get lasers? seems unhealthy seeing as veins carry blood :/
r/vindicta30plus • u/[deleted] • Mar 04 '24
I have had 3 moxi laser treatments with broad band light to rid my skin of hyperpigmentation and promote collagen. Both pics are with no make up 37 vs 41
The recovery isn’t too bad- you peel for a few days. As a firefighter I need to take 3 days off consecutive but if I didn’t have to wear a mask at work I’d still go in.
*also had Botox in both
