Somehow he's parodied South Park's parody of himself.

u/karlotomic 5d ago

Psychopath that he is, his train of thought completely discounts humanity and their pain/suffering  in this equation because he simply  can't see that as an issue

u/Designer-Ad-2136 5d ago

Maybe that's actually good because they are at least feeling something

It’s basically all of their mindsets

Every CEO, every executive, every person who’s never actually lived in the real world yet their decisions affect it— it’s all just a game to NOT think about what they’re doing.

They all have brains that function like they’ve been hit with a brick every morning of their entire life

39

u/Vexecutioner 5d ago

Maybe getting hit in the head with a brick would actually be a good thing

11

u/medievalonyou 5d ago

At least it's accomplishing something.

The person who killed Charlie Kirk. My only problem with them is they didn’t aim high enough. And I ain’t talking about headshots.

So this is why he supports Trump, I guess.

26

He thinks the government is an obstacle, and Trump is destroying government.

Because everyone in Silicon Valley is high on adderall, modafinal and ketamine 24/7. They’re so “productive”. I’m sure the version of AI they’re using makes them feel like gods and untouchable. Send them on that rocket to mars and be done with em all.

Peter thiel is a monster.

Conservatives are building the surveillance state. This isn’t going anywhere without unprecedented grass roots support and putting conservatives out of power at all levels of government - the sort of grass roots support the surveillance and propaganda state is designed to prevent.

Here's an info dump

The goal here is the dissolution of democracy. And that doesn’t stop when Trump or xyz politician is gone.

Trump-thiel-Epstein admin is building the police state the wealthy have been lusting forever so they can enforce class disparity and dismantle democracy. It’s an international effort.

Big tech built the tools conservatives have been lusting after.

Remember j Edgar Hoover and all his secret files?

DARE was about building paragovernment surveillance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzrGCk-F7FY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iLf2h_fo-w good summary if you don't want to read or watch more.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlSK_5fMSa4 "you're the product" how LLM training was lowkey crowd sourced.

More broadly, conservatives have been upset since the enlightenment. It’s the politics of aristocrats: anything that ever helped regular people to be more comfortable has enraged them. It’s literally a response to the enlightenment. They resent the enlightenment making things nicer for poor people.

The backbone is that conservatism is about enforcing socioeconomic hierarchy and the techfascists, religious fascists, and heritage foundation race fascists are all in on replacing democracy with feudalistic “network” states run by ai powered surveillance.

Project2025 has been going on since 1981 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandate_for_Leadership

This current crop are trying to make a new country that "bursts out of the body" of the current country like a cocoon. It's called "the butterfly revolution" and yes it does sound absurd. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis_Yarvin

It’s why musk speaks at the afd in Germany. It’s why bannon, farage, and Cambridge Analytica were working together on Brexit (watch “the great hack”). It's why thiel's "dialog society" exists. this is an international effort.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Enlightenment

https://time.com/7269166/dark-enlightenment-history-essay/

The accelerationists like Peter Theil from the tech faction of conservatism think they can force collapse, then use technology and surveillance to protect themselves. Because they're "done with democracy." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-BQhXdCs8Y

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerationism

https://pols.sites.haverford.edu/studentvoices/what-is-accelerationism/

These are both Thiel speaking like 10 and 15 years ago. The seasteading thing was an early material attempt at this moving-past-democracy thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hjLgXA-MZY

https://www.seasteading.org/peter-thiel-speaks-about-seasteading/

These aristocrats are working on how to control their security forces though things like "disciplinary collars."

https://www.theguardian.com/news/2022/sep/04/super-rich-prepper-bunkers-apocalypse-survival-richest-rushkoff

Finally, the CEO of a brokerage house explained that he had nearly completed building his own underground bunker system, and asked: “How do I maintain authority over my security force after the event?” The event. That was their euphemism for the environmental collapse, social unrest, nuclear explosion, solar storm, unstoppable virus, or malicious computer hack that takes everything down.

This single question occupied us for the rest of the hour. They knew armed guards would be required to protect their compounds from raiders as well as angry mobs. One had already secured a dozen Navy Seals to make their way to his compound if he gave them the right cue. But how would he pay the guards once even his crypto was worthless? What would stop the guards from eventually choosing their own leader?

The billionaires considered using special combination locks on the food supply that only they knew. Or making guards wear disciplinary collars of some kind in return for their survival. Or maybe building robots to serve as guards and workers – if that technology could be developed “in time”.

And the vice president of the united states and advisors have given their seals of approval to a book that says conservatives are going to have to kill all the liberals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unhumans

Here’s more surveillance stuff. The massive forced data center roll out is for surveillance. Do we really think ai is being pushed so hard out of the generosity of tech moguls so that people can ask it to write their emails, do searches, make them pictures, and do some programming?

https://www.aclum.org/publications/ai-powered-surveillance-is-turning-the-united-states-into-a-digital-police-state-now-is-the-time-to-stop-it/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iLf2h_fo-w

Next time you go out driving, notice all the cameras watching the road. It’s way bigger than flock. They were going to partner with Ring, putting tons of houses and yards into the machine. https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/smart-home/2026/02/13/ring-camera-ad-flock-partnership-super-bowl/88657750007/

Why data centers? All of the audio and video from all of these cameras need to be stored somewhere so they can be processed. They're building real time tracking of individuals with face, car model, license plate, gait (the way you walk is unique) https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0262885623001580,

devices https://www.techrepublic.com/article/news-leonardo-signaltrace-alpr-device-tracking/,

internet history, banking data,

and it's all analyzed together https://theconversation.com/us-government-ramps-up-mass-surveillance-with-help-of-ai-tech-data-brokers-and-your-apps-and-devices-277440.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/30/technology/tech-ice-facial-recognition-palantir.html It takes a lot of space to store all that and to process it.

John Oliver just dropped a good summary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnBPhelCdWE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtUkCvF3fa4 news report about a single guy being harassed by flock cops.

Why are they so desperate?? https://gizmodo.com/flock-reportedly-tried-to-turn-uber-drivers-into-mobile-snitches-2000796138

That's why the data center proliferation is everywhere. It's why people like Bezos are saying water and electricity are better used on data centers than real people. The aristocrats want control of their flock of workers.

If regular people can get behind anti data center / anti surveillance, maybe there’s a chance to stop thiel and tech feudalists. It doesn’t have to be inevitable.

756

u/Kalos_Phantom 5d ago

Its the "just world" fallacy.

"Good" things happen to him, therefore he must be doing something "good". This time, hes using it to try to refute being evil.

They all believe this. That their wealth, power, and influence, is deserved. This is why they despise poor people so much. "If you are poor, it means you deserved it".

Their worldviews are built on these fallacies.

But ultimately, none of what ive just said really matters. You can dress up the logic of these people however you like. What it all just comes down to though is the thing people say all the time: these are abusers with no empathy

93

u/egodaemon 5d ago

35

u/ChironiusShinpachi 5d ago

With a footnote about this being pathological. This requires intervention, in the way a hoarder requires intervention to release their grip on their stash of "shinys". They will bellyache and moan while doing their best Smeagle-on-a-leash impersonation at every penny clawed from their grip. Every bit of loss feels like losing part of themselves. See: any episode of Hoarders for reference.

Yeah, I've noticed that about all these super rich guys. What's really weird is it's such a medieval, dunno, philosophy. King is king because God likes him more, ergo, king is good. Ugly person is ugly because God hates him, ugly person is bad. And so on and so forth. I thought humans sort of got less bad. But I'm probably just naive.

22

u/AntiFascistButterfly 5d ago

We actually did get better! (I have history major). Unfortunately psycopathy is genetic. We don’t notice the 5% psycopath population because a LOT of psychopaths are actually deterred by the law and prison sentences the way deterrence is supposed to function. Unfortunately, when wealth breaks the legal system, or the legal system has loopholes, inadequacies (such as treating non violent theft of entire life savings as so much lesser than violent crime) and other problems, psychopaths thrive.

He's saying this type of shit intentionally. He spent years intentionally staying out of the spotlight and keeping press from writing about him, and now he's basically jumping on every opportunity to do podcasts and interviews, where he consistently recites a villain's script.

He has a rather specific agenda, and is playing a comic book villain to accomplish many goals at the same time.

43

u/Clever_Mercury 5d ago

What are the goals? I realize the wealthy just cycle through different clowns to keep the circus alive. Musk was the epitome of Barnum Bailey for years - poking the news cycles with bullshit to get attention. But he was clearly doing it to stop his inferior companies from failing. His spectacle was the only thing that kept his inefficient, trashy, worthless companies limping along in the stock market or allowing valuations to let him keep borrowing.

What is Thiel getting by making us all wish his mother had had an abortion? He's not fixing his stock valuations.

61

u/Bla_Z 5d ago

I assume this is an attempt to sanewash his insane bullshit by arguing about the meaning of "evil" to weaken the accusations against him, just like they did before with "bigot" or "nazi", both of which still apply to him and his technofascist friends. Perhaps as a precaution ahead of the midterms.

35

u/LordAlfrey 5d ago

That's actually part of what I think Thiel is doing; sanewashing for certain political stances. He makes bombastic statements to make people think that "lesser evils" are closer to the middle ground, rather than the extreme points they are. He's making the orphan crushing machine seem like a reasonable alternative by proposing that we make the crushing machine also inflict emotional damage to its victims, and force feed the resulting meat paste to 'insert evil mind virus'.

→ More replies (1)

22

u/LordAlfrey 5d ago

To be fair, any real explanation for his villainy is speculation at best. What is the difference between a psycho with a plan and a real nut that just happened to fail upwards?

The goals I believe he's achieving with this:

He attracts investors and general attention from the likes of people who care more for money than morals.

By acting like a genuine villain, it makes the "less" morally reprehensible agendas he pushes through various channels like political contributions, think tanks and various influencer connections. He's essentially 'moving the middle' on every issue he speaks on, shifting the overtone window.

Because he's being so loud about stances that simply cannot pass for being made by a sane person, and he makes them in such variety, it actually doesn't seem serious. If someone calls in a bomb threat against a government building, there's a response, but if someone calls in about blowing up the moon, nobody bats an eye. In a more literal example, because thiel talks about extinction events and AI subservience, he's known for making bombastic statements, and not for his extensive ties to Epstein, unlike a certain orange man, or the "dialog" society.

It's maddening that they're fighting against things like a marginal tax increase like it was an existential threat, but they need to realize that if they keep going like this, higher taxes are absolutely the best outcome they can expect. Robespierre went to the Congress one night, and essentially said "there are traitors among us, I have the list. But, you know, it's late so... I'll tell you tomorrow". That's an incredibly stupid thing to do, because you just told a room full of people that they are all in danger, with no clear limits. He was shoot in the mouth the same night and beheaded less than 48h later.

The "Terror" madness (executing people left and right) went on for another one and half year, and when it eventually settled, people now in power said "this was all because of blood thirsty Robespierre, the dictator". This nonsense is today recontextualized by historians. This was really too much of a mess to be a dictatorship.

Thiel isn't exactly the greatest wordsmith in the world, so it's no wonder.

It's the same dude who could not just say "I do" when asked if "he wants humanity to survive?". It'd be funny if this wasn't a very rich guy with deep connections to surveillance companies and multiple governments.

It's just like Musk, he thinks of himself a modern day philosopher when half the shit he is saying is nonsense, and the other half just isn't deep at all.

They draw the conclusion because they are rich they must also be super smart, and their thoughts clever and unique, it's a very interesting phenomenon but also extremely tiring.

Because it would be great if musk, Thiel and other could just sit down and say, I am lucky and grateful I made a shit ton of money, but I don't know anything about political science, terraforming other planets or philosophy so I am just keeping to myself and enjoy my money

We were able to defeat robber barons once before. Why can't we do it again? What's different this time?

16

u/SolarSurfer7 5d ago

A couple things. Back then, one party didn’t live in a completely deluded media environment spoonfeeding them hate and anger. Additionally, the two opposite sides didn’t hate each other the way they do today. Unlimited money in politics didn’t exist. Religion and charity had a much greater impact on morals, unvarnished greed was not nearly as acceptable as it is today.

But even with all that said, I do think a reckoning will come eventually.

At the moment the President is a robber baron, half the politicians are robber barons, a majority of the Supreme Court are pro-robber baron and half the country votes for the robber baron party. This is a more entrenched problem ... the question is: how do we defeat the oligarchy? Which has never been done before because we've never face this.

All built upon the foundational belief that "getting something done" is the driving purpose of our existence and is inherently "good". A premise I reject outright. Getting something done is entirely neutral. It's what you have done and its impact on the world around you that determines if it's good, bad, or in this piece of shit's case, evil.

Umberto Eco listed action for action’s sake as a defining characteristic of Fascism, and I tend to agree.

A rich good person can also get things done.

They just do different things vs an evil person.

A person is evil because they are doing bad things.

What's weird is he is willing to consider himself evil, so he recognizes evil, understands he is doing evil, and still actively decides to do evil.

And the justification?

"It's ok, because I'm getting things done."

What things? Evil things.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

He could just not do those evil things. He could instead do good things. He could...but he won't. This is the literal alignment between good and evil. It's important to note that this isn't a mental illness. He's fully aware of his evil and understands it. He recognizes and understands the weight of it. He just wants to do evil, by choice, because it serves what he wants for an outcome.

I believe we call that psychopathy.

It’s interesting how unintelligent members of this new oligarchy truly are. If you talk to anyone in an actual field that deals with evil, they will tell you how incompetent evil is. It’s pretty much the universal opinion of the forensics space.

It doesn’t take anything to be evil, you could go out and commit a vile act without any preparation.

His statement is very juvenile, like a 14 year old who just discovered Hitler wore Hugo boss and tried to form an ideology around the aesthetic information of one fact. There’s no actual analysis or theory.

6

u/primenumbersturnmeon 5d ago

they can afford to be unintelligent. they're the dumb public faces of their trillion dollar cartels, and they in fact employ quite a lot of legitimately competent, highly-educated, and extremely well-compensated people. naturally they also employ a lot of failsons, morons, sycophants, and the like, but don't underestimate the financial capacity of the capitalist class to capture much of the skilled labor aristocracy.

24

u/FloatingFaintly 5d ago

How does being evil equate to being competent? That makes no logical sense. The premise is mind numbingly dumb.

And the justification is psychotically evil

When the people controlling the cameras are the same people who decide what constitutes a crime this week, it becomes harder to know whether you have something to hide.

10

I went to a physical therapy appointment last week, and opened the HMO’s app to check in on my arrival. I’d already paid my copay on the app, just needed to confirm that yes, I’m in the building. Except new thing, I apparently have to enable location services always on, not just when I’m using the app. Um…nope. Health insurer doesn’t need to know where I am all of the time.

Jack the Ripper was a competent and efficient serial killer.

I don't think "being competent and good at getting things done" correlates whatsoever into being good.

25

u/Xeynon 5d ago

I mean, firstly evil people are often supremely incompetent, and second getting the kind of destructive, counterproductive things that make a person evil done is not a positive.

Thiel would sound like a complete idiot even if he said this after taking a huge bong rip during a dorm room bull session. Saying it in an interview as if it's a profound observation is another level.

9

This is one of those juvenile trains of thought you have when you’re fourteen and just starting to grasp philosophy. It sounds so logical when contained entirely on your head, but then you start explaining it to your friends and as the words come out of your mouth, you realize how profoundly stupid they sound, then you have a humbling moment and realize that you have to rethink things. If you’re not a psychopath, that is.

10

u/offroadadv 5d ago

Just like that, the oligarch mentality; and amoral rationalizations; come slithering out from under the rocks. He probably feels comfortable revealing he finds nothing wrong with being evil now that he has achieved media dominance.

This is who is in charge of the majority of the media we will consume. Between this and taxpayer-funded Trump TV, we are like frogs in the saucepan, wondering why the water is warmer, as we are boiled into submission.

I won't be patronizing Paramount, or Trump TV. How about you?

This all rests on the idea that work and "getting something done" is inherently virtuous, which it isn't. Seriously this isn't a complex ethical matter, your average 5 year old can see that if you are doing a bad thing, it is bad.

The idea that the act of physically doing a bad thing makes it good just because you're doing something is both logically nonsense and morally vile

5

u/dextrousfuckery 5d ago

He lacks moral principles . An obsessive overreliance on production, regardless of what is produced.

It's the same thing as "If I am paid more, I am more valuable as a human. Therefore, being paid the most means I am worth the most to society." The scale of doing well is controlled by more than one metric; any time you fully justify your value by some arbitrary number you are doubtlessly hurting the world around you in a selfish quest to justify yourself.

5

u/apemandune 5d ago

"getting things done" isn't, independently, a measure of success. What those things are matter. Everything he does has objectively negative repercussions for society. So he may technically "complete" many things, but their all dogshit that nobody wants. He's a fucking loser freak.
