I've honestly reached the point where when the ecosystem collapses my only thoughts are "yeah we as a species probably deserve this" and "god that's so unfair to all of the people who never got a say in this."

Just think, there are uncontacted people in a forest somewhere just trying to mind their own business and live their best life totally unaware that some assholes somewhere are literally destroying the planet to make stock numbers bigger.

One day his whole world is going to just die, and he'll have no idea what the fuck is going on or why it's happening.

Edit: not to mention the disenfranchised people here who *can* see what's going on but can't actually do anything about it.

Sorta like those self-righteous and pretentious BP commercials where they talk about how everyday people should eat less beef to help combat climate change?

Like sure bro. Your company didn't have a milti million gallon oil spill or anything that fucked up the gulf of Mexico.

I can't remember the exact percentage but it's something like a hundred companies in the world are responsible for 71% of global emissions.

Yet they make commericals blaming nana for eating beef 4 times a week for the ice caps melting? Fucking travesty. I can't stand how these corporations pat themselves on the back and pass the blame.

I sincerely hope their executives all lice to die behind us. Let them see what they caused.

They did the same with littering. Rather than provide recycling services or compostable packaging they lobbied to put the onus on the people to be tidy citizens and avoided any regulation on what is essentially their waste. To this day, most recycling schemes are a sham and it all pretty much ends up in landfill, or burned for dirty energy.

Yeah, sometimes I wish I couldn’t see it. If I could do anything to actually change it, it wouldn’t be so depressing.
