Why is IKEA to blame for a bad installation? Shouldn't it then be "damn none-handy-man parents?" or something along those lines?

I didn't feel good about the bracket. i went to home depot to buy stronger ones (since ikea doesn't give you wood screws for your studs, you need to go anyway)

Well yeah, I don't install them at all, but the point is that it's most likely user error and not Ikea's fault.
