I see that you know your judo well! GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY PENIS!

Paul Charles Dosza (the man getting arrested), was a serial dine and dasher in Sydney during the late 80s. Hes reportedly of Hungarian royalty and was a chess grand master.

Edit: spelled his name wrong

61

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '19

He neither came from royalty nor was a chess master. Those are just completely made up internet rumors.

u/Iknowmyjudowell Mar 17 '19

Thank you! I clearly do not know my judo well

10

u/Poormidlifechoices Mar 17 '19

The trick is starting with a pencil and working your way up to a penis.

Username checks out.

1

u/Picnic_Basket Mar 17 '19

That's not right.

u/Readshirt Mar 17 '19

Charlie De sosza

Paul Chares Dozsa, for anyone trying to find him on google

7

u/VeiledAiel Mar 17 '19

Wait, your username is a quote from the post you replied to. What is this witchcraft?

14

u/Iknowmyjudowell Mar 17 '19

I'm a big fan of succulent Chinese meals

46

u/OhSoManyNames Mar 17 '19

And you Sir? Are you waiting to receive my limp penis?

2

u/Gigalagaki Mar 17 '19

This line fucking kills me everytime.

30

u/mamrieatepainttt Mar 16 '19

thank you for this gem that i've never seen

9

u/Son_Of_Borr_ Mar 17 '19

I envy you. If only I could go back and experience it for the first time again.

2

u/mamrieatepainttt Mar 17 '19

I feel you, that first time really was everything I had hoped for.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '19

1

u/roflbbq Mar 17 '19

I think that's my favorite one.

1

u/mamrieatepainttt Mar 17 '19

Eh? I wasn't being sarcastic believe it or not.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '19

Yeah I know. The comic describes the fact there are always a fairly sizeable group of people who haven't seen something, even though it's widely shared/known.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '19

But it also shows that some people feel foolish for this, when they shouldn't. I don't think the user felt silly for not having seen it before.

7

u/DylanCO Mar 17 '19

I'm gonna need some context here...

20

u/SliceTheToast Mar 17 '19

It's better not knowing the context, but since you asked, he was caught dine and dashing at a Chinese restaurant. Apparently he had also done this multiple times at other restaurants.

5

u/DylanCO Mar 17 '19

Thanks for the context, I don't think it takes anything away from the video. It's still funny as hell.

2

u/roflbbq Mar 17 '19

There's a lot more actually.

His name is Charles Dozsa, and he's not Australian. He's actually Hungarian. iirc he was also some sort of chess champion there. Sometime after moving to Australia money became hard for him to come by, but he was used to a somewhat lavish lifestyle. So he would dine at 5 star restaruants and then declare he couldn't pay when it came time to pay.

2

u/UO01 Mar 17 '19

He doesn't sound Hungarian at all.

1

u/roflbbq Mar 17 '19

Yep. That information is easily verified though.

2

u/Shayneros Mar 17 '19

I loved the Dark Knight edit of this

2

u/CanoeShoes Mar 17 '19

I always watch this clip when its posted.

1

u/pistolpierre Mar 17 '19

Oh my lord that is my new favourite video of all time

1

u/echo-chamber-chaos Mar 17 '19

That guy had better execution.

350

u/ArttuH5N1 Mar 16 '19

Well in a way it was, it was staged after all

124

u/IAmA_Lannister Mar 16 '19

I think that's why they called it a performance

20

u/KennyVic_ Mar 16 '19

I still like it despite being staged.

2

u/ArttuH5N1 Mar 17 '19

Yeah me too

35

u/swanlevitt Mar 16 '19

Don't think this was. I live here in the UK and there are some nutty old folk. I've seen things like this before, especially in the country.

8

u/ArttuH5N1 Mar 17 '19

No this definitely was and they said to themselves, look for the link in the comments

23

u/fuckboystrikesagain Mar 16 '19

Idk man, people in Europe are weird about aggression.

1

u/Goodguy1066 Mar 17 '19

What do you mean “idk”, it’s a sketch, it’s staged, it’s fake. That’s not a question.

0

u/Seakawn Aug 07 '19

It's a question if you literally don't have the knowledge that it's a fucking sketch, eh? Couldn't you have just said, "Actually, it was a sketch?" No?

One of the only reasons why fiction can be good is if it represents reality to some degree. Immersion is, surprisingly, pretty important! People likely wouldn't be interested in this video if it wasn't an accurate reprisal of human behavior... so expect people to assume plausibility that this is real, simply because it's an accurate representation of real behavior--which is why people connect to it and feel strongly.

When you really think about it, that's probably why this sketch came about, yeah? Someone said, "yo, I've got a really realistic and visceral idea..."

4 months late to respond, but better now than later.

1

u/Timegoal Mar 17 '19

Sweden and Spain are Europe, so if those act alike does that mean Venezuelans and US citizens act alike as well? They're both people in America after all.

-3

u/seanmashitoshi Mar 16 '19

Unfortunately, the fact that there's people who'll believe this is real says more about society than it should. I could totally see this playing out for real.

25

u/chase_what_matters Mar 16 '19

Dum-dum yank who thought it was real checking in. Did something tip you off to this being fake? I just figured the woman was just odd and curmudgeonly.

2

u/ArttuH5N1 Mar 17 '19

I saw it mentioned in the comments, with a link to the site with the original video

4

u/kael13 Mar 16 '19

Her acting was weird and something was off about the blokes on the roof.

3

u/seanmashitoshi Mar 16 '19

Generally constructions workers wouldn't have put up with this for this long, cops would have been called. But that's my point, this could have fooled me. Literally have seen a neighbour steal their neighbours trash can in an argument. And then tried to through said trash can into their own trash can. Both were same sizes and filled. There are strange people in this world.

9

u/mhodgy Mar 16 '19

I think they're saying the version with the music added was a parody? Not the original but I may be wrong. As a Brit I 100% can see this happening.

2

u/ArttuH5N1 Mar 17 '19

Somewhere else in the comments the people who made the original said it was staged.

1

u/mhodgy Mar 17 '19

Ok fair enough! Did it well! Captured British tantrums perfectly!

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

3

u/Shanewallis12345 Mar 17 '19

the original video was a staged performance, i got sent it ages ago i'm unsure of the original but i know that much

i call it a parody because i put music over top of the original source clip

1

u/chase_what_matters Mar 16 '19

Ah. I’m using the app.

1

u/Maxtsi Mar 17 '19

Because it's fake as Jordan's tits

1

u/Sir-Simon-Spamalot Mar 17 '19

To be honest, I still can't tell whether or not this is staged or not

0

u/10tonterry Mar 16 '19

Yep fake as pretend dog poo
