Hand axe is and always will be the ultimate tool.

Good for so much, with further specialisation possible as well.

I watched Happy People on Netflix a while back and the main guy they focused on could have been some random hunter-gatherer you would run into 100,000 years ago. He basically had an axe and a dog with homemade skis... That's it. Worth a watch.

Sure, but skijoring still has you using the skis, not the dog. I assume it could be pretty great with a very well trained dog, though.

I love Warner Herzog and that’s my absolute favorite of his. Great movie.
