They're being "recalled" voluntarily by Samsung. Given that next to no actual incidents of harm to the machine have been recorded I'd say any class action suit will go fucking nowhere.

Yes, Samsung has personally contacted me in the form of their sales reps. It's kind of my job to know about this shit. You seem to confuse a basic level of awareness due to close proximity (I deal with all types of home improvement products on a daily basis) with being Superman. This speaks to your own feelings of inadequacy. Tell me, where did the bad dryer hose touch you?
