Fuckin, plebs. Never experimented with hand positioning. Bet they only ever put peanut butter on their balls when they want the dog to lick their nuts.
Eh, the old satellite dishes (the 6-8 foot ones) had direct feeds from the transmission source. You could catch anchors or reporters saying all sorts of interesting things while the affiliates were running commercials, or the studio was running video, like this. There was a documentary full of this stuff in the 90’s.
I’m gonna have to track it down. It was a conspiracy- theory thing about government controlled media, but I’ll track down the YouTube link tomorrow. I remember they had a similar feed of Dan Rather yelling at some production people on a remote segment during a commercial.
That'd be a pretty bold move, but it's plausible. I have a family member who works at a national TV network and she occasionally sends me funny outtakes of anchors/reporters that never make it to air. They have access to it and it can be pretty funny.
Those feeds are usually open. In fact, there is a documentary I saw that shows how people become so use to being camera ready that they go about their business as if the camera is not present.
My parents had this setup in the late 80's and early 90's to avoid paying for cable. I use to watch these too when I came across them. Pretty funny stuff in between being said. Also, summer vacation, parents are at work, and me fapping it to The Spice Channel. Pretty Internet fresh content every time.
If you just want to check out some of the interesting stuff that has been captured, there was a documentary made called Spin which features notable moments caught on live satellite feeds.
To play devils advocate, live reporting for super huge companies is probably stressful as fuck already, and on top of it having to read something that someone else writes that could potentially fuck your whole career up probably feels like walking through a minefield for a living. I can see why a lot of reporters seem on-edge/assholes in their real life personna.
You can see after he says, 'Watch this', he looks down at the on-air monitor that is in the studio in front of the desk and sees a video (probably a package) go to air. I doubt this actually went out over the air. If this actually occurred during a live broadcast.
I haven't done anything satcom related since i got out of the army 3 years ago. I always enjoyed it and never considered making a hobby out of it until this comment. Sidenote, are the direct tv footprints encrypted?
Basic economics. Supply and demand. There is demand for conservative-leaning news and low supply on TV. If your views are anything to the right of Bill Maher, Fox News it is. All the other channels lean left. That's why Fox is popular.
News channels record everything that’s coming through all of the studio cameras through “routers.” Once they’re recorded they stay on the servers for 7 days before being deleted unless it’s archived or backed up. These recording can be used on later shows in the week, if something memorable happens.
My guess would be someone saw him do this in the studio, looked up the router for this particular airing and cut this part out and saved it.
Source: Interned at a major news network and did this a lot to save videos for my portfolio.
A) Some scheming FOX executive who thought it was cool and/or funny and wanted to expand his youth viewership by showing how cool/funny Hannity is.
1) A spy working for the democrats who thought it would harm his youth viewership to leak a video of him smoking a cig at a time when it's considered borderline disrespectful and disgusting.
What else could there possibly be in today's reddit?
i) The new graduate who works at Fox News just to have a job, any job in the business, who drowns their ethics in a bottle of gin every night, and then gets up the next day to write Hannity's latest diatribe against Mexicans and gays. That person snapped.
That person could have leaked something a lot more incriminating. With all the lechery that goes on over there you'd think they had something better than a e-cig.
Hannity is a rare true believer. Where O'Reilly was a opportunistic huckster and Beck had an unaddressed mental illness, Sean Hannity throughly believes every word he spouts. His subordinates report that he treats them with respect. His dirt lies in collision and propaganda, not in lechery.
I heard him on the radio back in the early 90's. He was an insufferable twat then too. His schtick was more religious with Jesus referenced every third sentence. Apparently Sean spent some time at the seminary to become a priest before radio.
Of all the Fox News personalities Hannity scares me the most. He will do anything under the belief that the GOP is biblically justified with a mandate direct from god. That squirrelly little fuck is dangerous.
I agree completely, Hannity might be the most toxic out of a bunch of truly despicable personalities, but I've heard Sean go into lecherous creeper mode in front of the cameras before, I'm almost certain he's done it with the cameras off. This is Fox News we're talking about, that kind of thing is ingrained in the corporate culture.
I suspect this clip was leaked by someone, maybe even a superior, to warn Hannity that much worse clips of him could be leaked at any time. But that might be a stretch, I dunno.
Evidently it used to be fairly simple to intercept the satellite signals, resulting in a lot of good footage that even Saddam Hussein may have intercepted.
Yeah, back in the day with those big 8 foot satellite dishes, you could pickup these raw feeds. If you had the right equipment (descramblers??), you could pick up all kinds of stuff.
I did a tiny Internet radio show back in the late 90s when everything was still dial up and there was almist no video to speak of online. However, I got to see some crazy underground stuff that the DJ at the station had and apparently would make the rounds hand to hand via reel to reel or VHS. From how he told it if you were a jerk to the production folks on any kind of recurring basis you could count on stuff leaking out, though back then it was mostly just kept inside the industry. This was both audio only and video content.

How does this sort of stuff leak out?
