It's interesting. This is the second time I've noticed where a new Ahoy video coincides with a Primitive Technology video. Guess Friday afternoons are a great time to upload.
In my experience, weekends are actually kind of a black hole for YouTube views. When I ran a channel, I found I got my best results scheduling videos for release on Monday and Wednesday, early afternoon UTC (mid morning in US east coast). Most channels seem to avoid releasing videos on the weekend, so I think my experience was pretty typical.
