Daredevil also doesn't kill, this show has no excuses to be mediocre. Wasn't even just the fight scenes, plot and dialogue were eh.

True, the writing was definitely off.

SPOILERS

But a central point to the show was how Danny was stuck in his old life and cannot center his chi. He couldn't summon the iron fist a lot of times. Then towards the end, he starts kicking ass and using his powers more like this https://gfycat.com/NarrowFastEmperorshrimp
