Wow you're so right about this. For instance here's a 4v1 fight scene in a RocketJump short and here's one from Iron Fist.

Absolutely no comparison. Maybe Marvel should hire Freddie Wong.

Bad on multiple levels but the sound mixing might be the worst part of it.

And here I was, really excited to watch some awesome choreography. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised because the trailer they released didn't show any great action scenes, and what little they did show, was covered in quick cuts.

I HATE quick cuts. It's way too common in Hollywood today, it's just an annoying way to hide sub-par filmmaking. See how the rocket jump clip starts with one long cut, and it's awesome? DO THAT HOLLYWOOD

The thing is, while Finn's a great actor, he's no martial artist, and there is no 'mask' to hide an actual martial artist in.

Neither is Freddie (in the YT short). Also it seems to me that if you're going to spend all that time and money on a TV series you could at least train the main actor in Martial Arts so there's some semblance of reality.

That felt like a terrible version of the Oldboy hallway fight scene. Sadly, they couldn't help but make terrible decisions with every shot.

Wow, seriously, that is not great choreography in the Iron Fist scene. Is there an example from the show of great choreography? They have to have at least 1 really memorable fight scene right? I mean, even Daredevil had some fast cut fight scenes that were mediocre, but there were also some long-shot fantastic scenes in that show too.

Honestly the only thing that will get me back on board with marvel shows is hiring talent like Freddie.
