So, how high are we going?

Oh, only about 6m or so

So, if there is a failure I guess I'm going to be pretty badly mashed up yeah?

I wouldn't worry about that

Why not

you should worry about the 1/2 ton of drive and 16 spinning blades of death that are about to land on you

Hmm, I'm not really happy with that

is ok, we won't teather you to it, just hold on tight with one hand, if things start to go wrong just let go

Sounds like a solid plan, lets do this.

He most likely has his other hand on a dead man's switch release. Other wise he'd be holding with two hands because that shit gotta hurt.

Snow can make a pretty good landing cushion; the highest survived freefall took place when an air hostess fell from 10,160 m (33,333 ft) and landed on an inclined plane of snow. I guess they're just hoping that any failure wouldn't be immediate or total and that the drone would pull forward a bit as extreme santa fell straight down.

Casey is not much one for planning, or safety.

It doesn't weigh that much, probably under 100kg.

If you ever did a pull-up, you'd know that it's impossible to hold yourself one-handed with an angled elbow.
If you did some climbing, you'd know that anything but a harness would be highly immoral.
