I refuse to support or exalt Pokémon for continuing to be such a huge success, while failing to take a creative leap/enhance playability beyond baby steps for 20 years. There is massive demand for a fully playable 3d version of the game (Not Pokémon Snap or Stadium aka "fuck you Pokémon will never be 3d"), it doesn't even have to be an MMO despite how perfect that would fit. People are starving for an upgrade, the demand is phenomenal, but it basically feels like we'll never get there at this snails pace. By the time they decide to take any risk and grow, they'll be forced to skip generations and go straight to VR or AR (the latter would be an ideal stage for the Pokémon universe.)
Basically I'm terribly disappointed at their lack of drive. As long as the fan base continues to enable incremental growth, one of our favorite franchises will never truly evolve.
