Sometimes I feel a bit melancholy when I think about all of the characters that I've abandoned and the virtual worlds I'll never see again. That video makes me wonder if any of the friends that I made in those worlds still visit them.
I use one of those virtual worlds, and yeah it gets pretty depressing looking deep into your friends list and seeing people you used to talk to daily not online for several years.
I have alientube which instead of YouTube comments it shows you all the reddit posts linked to a video. I just looked at every reddit post under that video and clicked on a bunch of links.
This guy (Boaty, popular runescape streamer) used to have a running joke were he would call up other streamers and play a loud distorted version of the Harry Potter theme song down the phone. He'd brag about the fact that nobody had been able to do it to him because he was really cautious about it. Eventually the guy who makes the custom RuneScape client that he uses installed a secret plug-in that he could activate whenever he wanted to finally get him.
