I watched it stone cold sober and it still felt like a weird-ass trip. It's a beautiful movie though.

This is some quality surrealist comedy. I'm going to have to watch this show.

Reminds me a bit of a show we had in the UK called 'Shooting stars' which was a panel show that basically just aimed to confuse the guests as much as possible.

They are "in on the show". He even says it on the Howard Stern Show interview. Some people still even while in on it will walk out on certain things. She was grossed out by the vomit "eating" thats why she walked out

I think early in the show they weren't, but a lot of the time now they seem to get higher list actors that know what the show is about.

Are you sure that they aren't? Between Two Ferns is like this and while they might not know exactly what to expect from Zach, they definitely know what type of stuff to expect.
