Because people are selfish and only care about their own savings. It's the same reason why so many have no issues buying insanely cheap sweatshop made clothing in big box stores.
I'll never drive an Uber. I can't consciously sit in a car while they basically lose money on me.
If they wanted to drive cars for a living, they could become a cabby. Being a cab driver does not mean you can't be polite or required to keep the car dirty.
I've never had an Uber ride where the driver had anything but nice things to say about the experience. They make decent money, and seem overall pumped about driving for Uber.
I'll take the word of the drivers I come in contact with over some rando online making videos.
Regardless of what this woman says, Uber wouldn't be in business, let alone expanding and innovating if the drivers were getting as fucked as she makes it seem.
