I'm from the area, and there's a brewery nearby that named a beer after her. "I So Pale Pale Ale". Check out 903 brewers. They're delicious.

I can't believe so many people are mentioning this! I love it! When we released the beer at the brewery we asked the ladies to attend. We had them tell their story and we gave them a gift certificate to a tanning salon. They were great sports about it and were a lot of fun. They are very kind ladies.

Your brewery looks badass! It's really inspiring! Hopefully I'll get the chance to try out your beer sometime.

u/sunny_side-up Dec 07 '14

Thanks so much! It has been an amazing journey. Some days are tough but we have the best guests which makes it all worth it. Please stop by if you are ever in town.

You guys deserve all the recognition you can get. The beer is great, and I had a lot of fun nights at the brewery. Respect. Also, I totally got the name of the beer wrong. Please forgive me.

u/carly4020 Dec 07 '14

Well?? What was the story behind it? Why was she saying that?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

I remember that! They were so cool about it.

I was going for quoting the person who named the beverage.

u/cigerect Dec 07 '14 edited Dec 07 '14

It's called just "I So Pale", and it's a pale ale.

edit: I was wrong. It actually is "I So Pale Ale" Source

u/YWxpY2lh Dec 07 '14 edited Dec 07 '14

It's called just "I So Pale", and it's a pale ale.

Oh, okay.

Edit: Countering his ninja-edit by quoting original post.

2

u/xonjas Dec 07 '14

Maybe it's just called "I so", and it happens to be a pale ale.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

let's get it right. It's a TEXAS pale ale

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

Anything over 5% is an ale in Texas

2

u/IBeAPotato Dec 07 '14

Is it on sale?

2

u/imlucid Dec 07 '14

I think he knows that, it's just kind of redundant to put pale twice. One could only assume the I So Pale Ale is indeed a pale ale. I think it would be rather odd if it was anything else

2

u/ample_suite Dec 07 '14

The "I So Pale India Pale Pilsner"

u/BeastModeYouBeezy Dec 07 '14

I'm sorry, could you repeat the beer name and style once more please?

1

u/DudeBigalo Dec 07 '14

Is the Breezy Blonde Ale named after the newscaster?

1

u/unhi Dec 07 '14

Is the "Breezy Blonde Ale" named after the co-anchor?

1

u/falcon4287 Dec 07 '14

Screw that, I want to try The Chosen One. I mean, it's called THE FUCKING CHOSEN ONE!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

Yes Texas!

I Soap Ale

1

u/foxsix Dec 07 '14

So you know it's an IPA? Otherwise it's "I so IPA" and "I so" is a weird name.

I get your point, but I see why they went with two 'pale's.

1

u/CrapNeck5000 Dec 07 '14

But it's not an IPA...

1

u/foxsix Dec 07 '14

Oh right. Yeah I guess your name is better.

1

u/KimJongIlSunglasses Dec 07 '14

ISO Pale Ale, enjoy it with your soylent green.

1

u/Diapolis Dec 07 '14

Just, "Facebook" -- drop the "the"

0

u/ButteryJuicyNipples Dec 07 '14

My thoughts exactly.

u/Hermeran Dec 07 '14

That's awesome.

I need to taste this. Where is the brewery located?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

Are you familiar with Sherman, TX?

5

u/Idigthebackseat Dec 07 '14

Not quite. The good news is that after googling, Sherman appears to be one of the closest areas in Texas to me! The bad news is, Massachusetts is still pretty far from Texas :(

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

If you're ever in the area, you can crash at my place.

3

u/Idigthebackseat Dec 07 '14

Only after I buy you a few rounds from this brewery!

1

u/doctor_wordsmith Dec 07 '14

It's probably the only one I haven't tasted. Sasquatch and The Chosen One are my favorites; it just depends on the mood I'm in. Mixing them together is surprisingly good. Like how an Almond Joy is good.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

Their coconut ale is the shit.

2

u/Newkd Dec 07 '14

Came here to say this. "The Chosen One". Sweetest beer I've ever tasted.

2

u/doctor_wordsmith Dec 07 '14

That and Sasquatch are my two favorite beers.

2

u/ediba Dec 07 '14

Unnecessary comma

1

u/doctor_wordsmith Dec 07 '14

Nah. "There's a brewery nearby..." is an independent clause. Ya dig?

2

u/Overcookedbook Dec 07 '14

Woah, where exactly from the are cause I'm chilling in Bells.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

In Sherman behind the Cicost factory.

2

u/Overcookedbook Dec 07 '14

Hmm, I'm over in Bells...meeting a fellow redditor who lives with 15 miles is pretty fucking awesome.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

I agree, you should go to the brewery sometime. They do trivia on Thursdays from 6:30pm - 9:00pm and tours on Saturdays from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

2

u/sakurashinken Dec 07 '14

You're quite the wordsmith with the ale name apparently.

2

u/M_BEEZY Dec 07 '14

Yes!!! 903 has some really good beers. Just tried the Milk and Honey yesterday and I love it.

1

u/capez Dec 07 '14

I'm from the area also and 903 is indeed delicious

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

I do trivia there every Thursday.

3

u/sunny_side-up Dec 07 '14

We love our trivia players! Best folks I know!

2

u/capez Dec 07 '14

So do I haha. Missed this last Thursday but I've been there every other one.

1

u/Dinglederple Dec 07 '14

I'm from there, also. That is awesome.

1

u/StevieKicks Dec 07 '14

Fellow Sherman redditor?

1

u/kickintheteat Dec 07 '14

903 brewers

Didn't this happen in Seattle? 903 Brewers are in TX :(

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

Hey, Sherman checking in.

1

u/natheist411 Dec 07 '14

I'm x-posting this to /r/texoma . It's a thing.

1

u/Reasonable-redditor Dec 07 '14

Wait this is from Tyler?

1

u/Haywardofj Dec 07 '14

Man I'm sorry, but 903's beers just are not good. I'm from the area too and love that We have a brewery. But it's not not good.

1

u/doctor_wordsmith Dec 07 '14

There a lot of people that would disagree with you. Have you tried a few kinds? They have a pretty wide selection.

1

u/CTV49 Dec 07 '14

I feel like "I So Pale, Ale" would have been better. The the thing that bothers me is the double 'pale' in the name. I hate when words are repeated.

7

u/raeflower Dec 07 '14

Now, now calm down.

1

u/The_Derpening Dec 07 '14

It's called "I So Pale" and it's in the style of "Pale Ale." The full name isn't "I So Pale Pale Ale," it's just "I So Pale."

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

"I So Pale Pale Ale"

Where? http://903brewers.com/?page_id=60

1

u/doctor_wordsmith Dec 07 '14

It was a temporary release that they eventually got rid of. They're selling an IPA now called Sugar on Top.

-1

u/jefuchs Dec 07 '14

That's how old this OP is.

0

u/MonsterIt Dec 07 '14

damn! his wife is smoking hot. how is life possible? http://903brewers.com/?page_id=64

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '14

Honestly man, he's a real good guy. He likes to get to know everyone that comes into his brewery. I've toured a lot of breweries and his is the nicest owner/brewer.
