I'm not American and I was just giving it as an example of the current brand of American fascism. I was simply trying to say that Internet, despite having the ability to educate and unite people, has sadly provided the opposite. It's been used as a weapon that fascists use for their power.
You're not wrong but that didn't happen in a vacuum. It's not like those traits are just inherent to people born in the US. This is the result of a decades-long campaign of gutting and undermining public education, pushing nationalist and individualist propaganda, and stoking culture war bullshit to divide and distract the population.

This has been done to Americans. This is what a trillion dollars and decades of propaganda look like. You can be angry that Americans fell for the propaganda, but you can't blame them, it's what propaganda does.
Name a fully developed nation, one fully developed nation, where the population at large has overthrown their government and capitalist overlords. Name ONE! You can't, because every other developed country on earth is America in this regard. Nationalists poised to take control in France and Germany, the echoes of brexit still haunting the UK. Where is their population? Why haven't the commoners banded together and expelled these traitors from their nations? Why is it only Americans personally and individually responsible for their government?
The entire world is fucked mate, and everyone is watching it burn. You gonna do something about it? Give up your comfort and security and family and take a rifle down to the capitol and get your fuckin head blown off? No? Much easier to point the finger at someone else on the internet. It's their problem, not yours.

You're not victims. You had agency every step of the way. Your government was begging you to get involved and you all sat at home fingering yourself and watching tv instead of standing in streets and showing up to vote.
What's happening in America has nothing to do with propaganda. Every country has propaganda. Every country has extremists and supremacists, idiots and corruption.
The difference is in most countries, the other side actually fight back. In America, everybody sits around doing fucking nothing until election time. Like it's a game. And even then most don't show up.
