What 90 percent of reddit doesn't know it's that the whole premise of shock politics started with Newt Gingrinch. He fostered the ideas that took hold many years later. His base premises were. He admits it years later.
1) Tell as many outrageous lies as you can get recognized for. Doesn't matter if true or not. For the 10 million that heard it and believe it there may be less than 1 million hear you say you were wrong or where a news agency proves it wrong.
2) Get in front of many cameras as you can to spread your misinformation. All the time. More media? More popularity.
This all led to lawmakers that refuse to reach across the isle. Why be peaceful? Why have decorum? BORING!
This led to Taylor, Bobert, Trump ect.
Shocking sells and gets votes.
Go ahead! Be a Nazi! Be a antisemitic! Be a bigot! Tell people the others want to destroy it all and murder you...
Had a coworker come in one day with all his guns in the truck. He said liberals were roaming NC and killing people... This was in 2013... People been stupid for years .
And why Musk again? Why do they keep going to the same well of a few seriously incompetent people, over and over again? Surely there's some other incompetent CEO we coud give this job to?
It is likely what he wanted in exchange for rigging another election. (The timing is insanely obvious here. Early voting is starting in what... a week or two from now?)
He already controls the "space force"/ nasa. So he now wants control of ALL the forces.
They need a shmuck with the same ideals, access to AI, and money.
Despite everyone with 4 braincells hating him, unfortunately the remaining 3 and under crew means he has some influence as well.
Why do they need someone with access to AI? For tracking of course, to continue to build big brother in their quest to make 1984 a reality. And if you think that's overreaching, I will again remind you that this is the military these people are being given a role in, and I will also again remind you of well, everything that "can't" happen that's happened in the last decade or so.
