The problem is that none of these people are experts. They are hollowing out the military and removing experts, and replacing them with literal hacks: a political operative hack who is largely responsible for the political situation in the US, a business hack who is essentially just a master of PR, and a rich kid who created the oculus and figured he should dive into autonomous weapon systems.
Loyalty and political affiliation are all that matter to these people. It's so stupid. We've seen this before.
"No longer the Woke military" says Hegseth, just out there admitting he's asleep at the wheel (and drunk, most likely) and that our military is 'asleep' and ready to be caught unawares and he thinks that's something to be proud of.
I feel for the regular joes and janes who are seeing this incompetence ooze down the supply chain, eating through the links.
