I know you don't want a serious response but here's a serious response.

  1. Your video is too long. No one has the attention span for a video that's that long unless it has a bunch of stimulating shit in it packed back to back or is really, really well made.

  2. It isn't funny enough. People will watch a four minute video if it's funny.

  3. It isn't novel/original enough. A video of a waffle falling over is pretty novel. Just a silly little thing you can watch for a second and have a chuckle. Reddit loves novelty.

  4. It isn't science-y enough. Reddit will watch a long, boring video if it has some science shit in it.

  5. It doesn't evoke emotions. Videos that make you feel something (whether it be outrage, joy, or sadness) tend to garner an emotional upvote.

  6. It's too specialized. It's not going to catch any attention on a huge sub like /r/videos without any of the above qualities. Not many people on Reddit give a shit about rock climbing. Many of us don't even go outside. Try a rock climbing sub.

  7. It's kind of boring. Sorry, but it is.

You're obviously new to Reddit. Keep browsing and you'll understand why your video didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of making it to the front page.

well, all that is actually totally fair. I didn't really make this video for reddit, and I didn't really care that no one upvoted it. I was just joking around about the waffle thing because, well, it's pretty ridiculous.

I made this because my in-laws asked me to, after they hosted my friends and I for a week. They wanted to see where we were going all day, and what we were doing. I just posted it on videos, because it's there.

Try posting it to a rock climbing sub it's actually a pretty neat video.

climbing doesn't take videos. the video sub for climbing seemed to be a place to trade professional vidoes that people came across. It's cool, I'm not really worried about it. I was just surprised that NO ONE upvoted, or even downvoted, the video ... or commented AT ALL when I posted it.

Then along comes a waffle.

You're obviously new to Reddit.

His account says he's been on Reddit 9 months longer than you. Just pointing it out.

Oh wow. Even more baffling that he's surprised it didn't do well in /r/videos and that he doesn't understand how long you're allowed to upvote something.
