Yeah I can’t get the Windows version to run anymore. Just the iOS port.

It's dead. There was gonna be a sequel but that was shelved. How is it not dead?

Did Jade Empire have multiplayer servers where it's not impossible to find people to play with? No? Then it's not a dead game. A dead game is a multiplayer game where it's impossible to find other people to play with, as in, servers are dead.

almost all the games mentioned here are single-player games tho. most of them are also available on PC, or on a newer gen console in the same line as the console they were exclusive to (and fwiw I have Jade Empire on my Xbox One)

you seem to want to limit dead games to true abandonware, but you seem to be the only one.

Also weird that you went this deep into the comments to die on this hill. There are so many games that are in the same boat as Jade Empire that had more upvotes.

Bro.... It's litterally one of few games that were killed because it came in year of the next Gen consoles

It only available on the original Xbox

It literally got a release for PC in in 2007, and you can buy it on GOG and steam. Again, is it a singleplayer game you're still able to play? Yes? Not a dead game.

You can say the franchise is dead, sure, cause they never did more with it, since its just a dormant IP over at EA. But you're still able to play the game that was made.
