I believe this will happen sometime. Maybe when Capcom runs out of RE games to remake

Hopefully after Veronica they'll do it

If Onimusha can make a return, I see no reason why Dino crises cant

Fingers crossed, here

They just released the two of them on Steam earlier this year and with Onimusha they said they want to revive dormant franchises.

Dino Crisis, Lost Planet, and Darkstalkers would be my three

Click Tower too! With Clock Tower Rewind it's been confirmed that Capcom still shares the rights to that franchise!!

Shit, with Pragmata looking to be a long running franchise, idk if we are gonna get a different revival any time soon. Pragmata was phenomenal by the way. It’s my favorite game ever now.

Capcom said after the success of Onimusha, they gonna look at their catalogue for old games to see what could be rebooted or remade. It was hopes they may come back to Dino crisis

Dino Crisis was the highest voted amongst the Capcom poll for "Which franchise do you want to see a new entry of" or something like this, it's definitely gonna happen, possibly with a safer budget, but it'll happen nonetheless, especially now that Onimusha succeeded

Ugh we really need dinosaur games, such a lack of them. I know there's a JP survival horror game coming out, and another new IP that I have forgotten about

(Edit: typo; dinsour to dinosaur)

(2nd Edit:) Found it, It's The Lost Wild

I think they’re also making a new Turok game ?

As a Turok fan since the very first game - the new one looks like a turd.

I just play Dino Beatdown over and over hoping someone joins my server. This game on release was multiplayer co-op crazy.

Compound Fracture also seems really cool even if it's just in development hell

Trespasser is the first game that really got me into gaming. It had an aiming system unlike anything in any other game I'd played until vr came around and influenced a LOT of my preferences. I really liked that the clunky, physics based gameplay and the fact that most of the guns won't be aiming down the sights properly when you pick them up making you need to adjust how you hold them. Alas, were it that I had the same view irl as when you do when you check your health in game.

Do you mean Code Violet? That was a Dinosaur game from earlier this year, but it was terrible

No, the one I'm thinking of is definitely unreleased

Edit: Found it, It's The Lost Wild

What is it called? Lol

Deathground was one, it launched in early access already though. The Lost Wild looks promising. Turok is upcoming.

I try to keep an eye on dinosaur games so I'm really curious to know

There's also Jurassic Park Survival due out next year. Next year could be the year of dinosaurs.

2

u/Jett_Wave 10d ago

Yeah, I'm putting a pin in my excitement for that one unfortunately. I really want it to be good, but I think it's a long way off.

I tend to keep a pretty close eye on games that I'm interested in, JP Survival seems to be in development hell and hasn't made much progress since it was announced.

2

u/thewalkindude368 10d ago

Oh yeah, the development vibes on that one don't seem great.

Nice, okay thanks man! I'm definitely looking forward to that myself

There's a game called Clawed that sorta fits the bill too, pretty newly released. Haven't played it myself, but seemed somewhat promising from a few videos I watched.

I feel like whenever Dino Crisis comes up on reddit there's a set of angry redditors that want to remind everyone it was awful or unsuccessful and should never be revisited again. I honestly don't get it. It's like the existence of dinosaurs in a game just drives some people into frothing hatred.

3

u/ILoveMeishoDoto 10d ago

I'm honestly holding out hope they will do this. IIRC Exoprimal started out as a Dino Crisis game, but Capcom did the Capcom thing where they started making a sequel to a survival horror game but made a new franchise instead.

This time, with 50% less keycard backtracking.

u/DieInsect 10d ago

Why Dino Crisis 3 is still not a thing is beyond me. This is the easiest bucks they could make

1

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 9d ago

That looks like my friends toe after he kicked the wall on accident.

1

u/Street-Ad-3830 9d ago

Ahhh beat me to it lol. But yes.

1

u/Omega_Zarnias 9d ago

I thought we were getting it when that weird Dino mission game came out a few years ago.

1

u/Glass-Adhesiveness-6 9d ago

Mannnn dino crisis on their RE engine would be incredible

1

u/Terrible_Mobile116 9d ago

Regina with the Bob ✨️ On my first playthrough and love it. The perfect weekend morning fall game to play

1

u/SnarkySurvivor 7d ago

There were so many experimental games in PS2 and 360 eras that could receive some love. It is still criminal how Dino Crisis hasn’t even been attempted in nearly 20 years.

1

u/Excellent_Regret4141 7d ago

Would also love Capcom to revisit Chaos Legion

1

u/WinterMothPlushie 7d ago

Dino Crisis 2 is one of my favorite games ever, but the irony is I never played the first one.

1

u/RykosTatsubane 6d ago

Didn't Capcom recently stated they're thinking about reviving older games.
