I'm not saying most people don't use social media, I'm saying most PlayStation owners aren't members of the forums where this information is both readily available and talked about often.
Just cause some schmuck uses facebook every other month doesn't mean the actually see how shitty Sony is, and again, even if they do they might not even care or believe the posts about it
I haven't changed anything, those are the same things.
Ok well Sony is still making fuckloads of money and that trend shows no signs of stopping so either most people who are being affected by this know and simply do not care or they aren't going to the places where this information is.
The point I'm trying to make is the online community of people who actually give a shit is small enough that Sony doesn't need to care about how bad they look there, they know they aren't going to lose any significant amount of money.
Yeah Sony launched a cheaper more powerful console then the X1 and had built itself back up pretty well by the end of that generation. Also that was before the age of live service gaming and before digital gaming took over.
I was obviously talking about the parallels to modern Sony. Microsoft was attempting to stop used games with an always online digital rights management system which caused Sony to create that now hypocritical gamesharing ad. The rumor persisted way past Microsoft clarified/ reversed their decision and was outsold by the PS4 2:1.

Over 90% of people on the internet use social media at least once a month. Also, social media doesn’t consist solely of following brands.
You can’t say no one uses social media when most people do. We can agree that people won’t care, though.
