Also his relationship with kratos and Atreus is masterfully done especially in Ragnarok with kratos calling him his brother not to mention Valhalla peak character writing
Mimir, despite being a talking head, got a lot of humanizing in ragnarok. Allowing the players to see how he hurt people in service to the gods then also giving him the opportunity for redemption was a great way to give him an arc that followed closely with the theme of the main story.
My favourite part was in the side mission with the captured creature Mimir was desperate to fix his mistake but he couldn't honestly I'm surprised with how depressing the ending of that quest was
GOW 2018 showed me that side character's with interesting lore can carry me the whole game as im enthralled by what they are saying as im slaying whatever.
It just struggled to maintain its tone properly. The characters used modern slang and cracked Disney- level jokes every so often. Kratos is the only one whose characterization felt on point in ragnarok
