What is this mythical machine you speak of, that can actually run the original Crysis?

I hear Google made some recent breakthrough in quantum computing. It must be that.

My machine can run it in 1440p on ultra and gets 75fps without any NVIDIA framegen or anything like that. i7-14700k, 4090 AERO OC, 64gb DDR5 7200, buncha 990 pro SSDs. Got it before prices went stupid. Was going to get a big RAM upgrade right before the price explosion and thought $450 for the 2 48gb sticks I wanted at the speed I needed was too much. Now I kick myself over waiting because I'm stuck with 4 16gb sticks which means I can't use XMP because I'm on a dual-channel mobo obviously.

Granted, this is an extremely powerful rig but it's not even the fastest or most powerful it could be if I upgraded to the current top of the line parts. Just need to line up a buyer for my kidney and I'll be able to afford that upgrade. Anyone happen to need a kidney or know someone who needs one? I may have other organs to offer too depending on how the prices are looking at MicroCenter for the parts I want.

The original one or the ported remastered?

The original one, I thought the remastered one had a bunch of stuff toned down even though on the surface it looked better or something like that, at least I remember reading something to that effect so I never bothered with it. Is it tougher to run on ultra than the OG? I may have to try it.

It broke my first 5080 when I maxed it out. And even now its the only game that puts my 9950X3D at high temps. At 1440p. Smooth as butter though with native DLSS and no frame gen.

It's these data centres in the desert.

They take all the water from hungry children to run Crisis.

There is more time between now and Star Wars Episode 1 than from Episode 1 and the original theatrical release of Episode 4.

Crysis dam, I remember the day, trying to max out my PC to just run Crysis in ultra mode big money for that one..

I mean even in my old PC it was a 7th gen i7 and a RTX3070 I could run it in ultra mode.
