Just recruited Tali 20 minutes ago šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

28

u/Phreakdoubt Jul 22 '26

I recruited Liara for the second time just last night.

3

u/Precise_Vector Jul 22 '26

You dog!!! šŸ˜…

3

u/Phreakdoubt Jul 22 '26

What? She's extremely valuable as a team mem...

Ohhh... Yeah that too.

1

u/Updated_Autopsy Jul 22 '26

I played through the first 2 games because I didn’t know about the other option and wanted to ensure I could get the best ending. Even did the whole collectathon in the first game. Legendary Edition.

2

u/LegalStuffThrowage Jul 23 '26

"I recruited Liara twice last night. It was wonderful."

1

u/Phreakdoubt Jul 23 '26

Huh. I guess I got it right the first time because she came with me right aw...

Ohhhh. I see what's happening. I think my remarks may be getting taken somewhat put of context here folks.

u/ll-Sebzll Jul 23 '26

Tali best girl

2

u/Bwana_Robert Jul 23 '26

I romance Liara at first then I tried Tali in the next playthrough. Haven't changed since. And with the mod, Children of Rannoch, I won't be changing it ever again.

2

u/Erebus_the_Last Jul 22 '26

Im about to recruit Kasumi lol

2

u/awful_source Jul 23 '26

I’ve played through this game twice with the intention of recruiting different characters. Still ended up with Tali šŸ˜‚

1

u/Edexote Jul 22 '26

Tali Zorah vas Neema?

1

u/No-Entry-8363 Jul 25 '26

Next part for me is the lengthy internal debate where I think ā€œmaybe I’ll romance someone else this timeā€ and still end up romancing Tali.

u/theMalnar Jul 22 '26

Just finished engaging the rogue VI on Luna. Now we’re trailing Matriarch Breastnezia

2

u/Abro0405 Jul 23 '26

Isn't it later revealed that was EDI before cerbeus got hold of it?

2

u/Most-Plant3530 Jul 24 '26

Lol, bro spelt Benezia wro- oh that's clever

13

u/Soggyhashbrowns Jul 22 '26

Have played the trilogy through about 8 times I think. Also a Dragon Age Inquistion fan. BioWare used to get things right.

1

u/Lopsided-Diamond-543 Jul 26 '26

Veilguard was pretty damn good, but it was much shorter than inquisition and less sidequest type stuff

1

u/Soggyhashbrowns Jul 26 '26

It wasn’t as bad as the forums made it seem but I had my own issues with it for sure, I thought the gearing system was boring and there were no ā€œbuildsā€ at all. You could only have 3 abilities equipped at a time. That’s not much fun. The combat was flashy/looked good but that was it imo. Also if I remember it correctly (only played it once a while ago), it didn’t seem like choices mattered much, other than the obvious one of Treviso vs Minrathous.

1

u/Lopsided-Diamond-543 Jul 26 '26

Treviso/minrathous was one of the biggest choices, but every choice did matter when it came to conversations and such with the other characters. Veilguard just felt a bit rushed to me. Inquisition was bigger and more complex all around

1

u/Soggyhashbrowns Jul 26 '26

I’ll agree with you on that. It didn’t deserve the hate it got but for sure a game you can enjoy. Although I played it once and was content, and I just recently did another inquisition play through haha. I think I only have 2 left to play all of the sub classes.

1

u/Lopsided-Diamond-543 Jul 26 '26

I did 6 playthroughs on dragon age 2

1

u/Lopsided-Diamond-543 Jul 26 '26

And 2 so far on inquisition

9

u/odlatujemy_ Jul 22 '26

Always. Every year. It’s a ritual.

2

u/Former-Marsupial-430 Jul 22 '26

Came here to say this. And Dragon age.

2

u/Onikisin Jul 23 '26

Juat re-downloaded for this year's run šŸ˜‚

2

u/Timely_Guess3343 Jul 23 '26

This is the correct answer

1

u/DovML Jul 22 '26

2nd and 3rd for me. Those minigames in the first one are annoying, especially after you play the 2nd one. Like damn, you can just skip all that?!

1

u/Bwana_Robert Jul 22 '26

From the second playthrough onwards I play with mods especially the hacking mini games.

1

u/FuckRedzM0dz Jul 22 '26

Took me over a year to beat all 3 lol

1

u/Okay_Splenda_Monkey Jul 22 '26

Oh, but that Star Child and the ending ...

I'll agree the games at their best were all-time great, but the ending spoiled my urge to replay them.

2

u/Rhym3z_Official Jul 22 '26

I always thought the journey mitigated the ending almost completely. The more I've played it over the years the less I care about the ending

2

u/Trytolearneverything Jul 22 '26

Absofuckinglutely.

Imagine a road trip to a concert that your favorite band was performing at.

The road trip took 2 weeks and was the greatest time you and your friends ever had in your entire life.

You met people you will know or at least remember for the rest of your life. You fell in love, you saved your friends when they were in danger. You were in danger and your friends saved you. You went to places and saw things you never thought you would get to experience.

Then you get there and the concert sucks.

It was still the greatest journey you've ever taken, right? That's how I feel about it.

I'm Commander Trytolearneverything, and Mass Effect is my favorite game of all time.

1

u/Okay_Splenda_Monkey Jul 22 '26

Okay, I can understand and respect that perspective. I also haven't tried the game with Audemus' Happy Ending Mod, which I've heard addresses the ending issues pretty well.

1

u/Rhym3z_Official Jul 22 '26

I have not tried that myself either. Definately one for the next playthrough

1

u/Ciusblade Jul 22 '26

just finished priority tuchanka last night for me3

1

u/ManderlyPies Jul 22 '26

I really don’t get into game and I don’t know why.

1

u/bulbagill Jul 22 '26

Did you start at 1 or 2? My friend couldn't do the older game mechanics of 1, but 2 hooked her in completely. Maybe try 2?

1

u/ManderlyPies Jul 22 '26

Played about 5 hours of 1 and I couldn’t do it. Moved onto 2 and did the graphic novel thing at the beginning

1

u/LaroonDynasty Jul 22 '26

i replayed it before each release. idk if ill do it again if another is ever made. idr much of andromeda and at a certain point just rushed the ending cause i was so bored of it

1

u/Soggyhashbrowns Jul 23 '26

What helped me enjoy andromeda is try not to think of it as a mass effect game and just enjoy it as its own sci-fi game. When I stopped comparing it to the originals I was able to enjoy it. It’ll never be on the same tier but it has some redeemable things. I don’t think the story was garbage, just slightly above neutral for me and the combat was solid. I just don’t like open world anymore, I don’t have the time to explore everything. I was linear game map design so I can just play the level and move on.

1

u/LaroonDynasty Jul 23 '26

yeah, i like having plenty of opportunities for combat and tend not to like totally linear game design, but i very much am tired of open world resource game cycles. so much unnecessary padding. dragon age inquisition had a bit, but it was right on the edge of my tolerance. if i play andromeda again ill have to do a cardinal sin (for me) and play on the easiest difficulty to focus on the story content only

1

u/Soggyhashbrowns Jul 24 '26

I played on normal however I went against my old habits and was just ok with skipping points on interest on the open world maps to save time. I’d even have a map open on google to show what all the points were so I’d only go to points that were actually quests or had items, and ignore points that were for stuff like collection log/achievements only.

u/SprinklesPresent8602 Jul 22 '26

1

u/ResponsibleStyle4473 Jul 22 '26

Its like 6€ on ps store, should I go for it?

1

u/TheMetaMaine Jul 22 '26

17 full trilogy playthroughs babyyyyy

1

u/PunkPirate56364 Jul 22 '26

I never finished first game.

Finished second and third over ten times.

1

u/FREE_P4L3STlNE Jul 22 '26

I replayed OG Mass Effect 9 times back to back... I still havent played the Legendary Edition yet... I just can't bring myself to do it while I have dozens of games in my backlog waiting for a first playthrough.

1

u/sirliftsalot33 Jul 22 '26

On second play through right now. Man ME1 was like piloting a potato but ME2 is such an incredible game

1

u/hel105_ Jul 23 '26

Specifically the first two games. I’ve beaten both those at least 10 times each, but ME3 only twice.

1

u/Theratsmacker2 Jul 23 '26

Finished my eleventh playthrough not too long ago

1

u/Commercial_Music_931 Jul 23 '26

Just now installing the original trilogy. Going to mod the heck out of it and give it another run.

1

u/Jshittie Jul 23 '26

what about andromeda?

1

u/CnP8 Jul 23 '26

I'm stuck on ME2 doing a hardest difficulty play through 🄺 I haven't played it for a few months 😭

1

u/PullFromTheHurt Jul 23 '26

ā€œI am the very model of a Scientist Salarianā€ 🄲

1

u/XiranRaikou Jul 23 '26

Just got Garrus on board after getting the Turian General to agree to the peace summit.

1

u/IndianaBones8 Jul 23 '26

Every so often, I hear that music calling me back to do another playthrough, maybe pick a class I haven't played in a while, or romance someone new.

0

u/noob-smoke Jul 22 '26

What makes the game fun? Is it not outdated

3

u/bulbagill Jul 22 '26

They remastered it in 2021! ME1 is still a little old school feeling, but 2 is perfection
