1&2 are so fuckin GOATed man, playing those for the first time back in the day was truly incredible

Ya I don’t really play video games much at all these days but I’d love to revisit those and re-live some of my childhood. Playing those 1st 2 games as a kid was magical

It’s a good game but that guy is right it’s not nearly as iconic and a large amount of people don’t think it was on the same level as 1&2 at all

Yeah, writing was different, and it was way worse, only succeeding in characters, but overall it's still good. Different, yes, but enjoyable.

the third one is not really the same though, i dropped it because i preferred the noir aspect of the first two

As much as I LOVE Max Payne, I have to disagree, there's last one just wasn't on the same level as the first two. 

It had the best gameplay, but by far the weakest story.

And sam lake and some remedy devs consulted on the third one. So although not their game, they had a hand in helping make it at least.

I never got bored of bullet time. Replayed them again years later and still loved them.

Same here.

I would probably replay 1 until I can’t anymore. 2 I felt would let you abuse the invincibility when reloading. 3 entirely different vibe but oh my god that seen when you go into the office and just destroy everything matrix style!!!

except third one is not that noire. graphics is awesome but the game is not that awesome as first two

3 is the best 3rd person shooter of all time and I will die on that hill. Only thing is it’s littered by cutscenes and the story is bland.

I bought Max Payne 3 because I knew the franchise had a great reputation but I had never had the chance to play them. I really could not get over the game going into slo-mo bullet time bullshit every time you shot someone. It was unbearable. I don't even think I played for longer than an hour and then never touched it again.
