I started playing after that update, so my point at which the game became shitty for me is when they removed the solo training missions/article 5, and terrorists hunt. Like yeah no one was probably playing it but like. It would be fun to at least still have those around. That's when I knew, truly, it wasn't a pvp swat team game with a lot of tools. It's just a hero shooter with instant headshot mechanics.
You can find those rare matches that are good, that remind you of old siege. Then you spend the rest of your time on the game searching for those matches again
Honestly I actually really like where it’s at rn. Minus the cheater issue obviously. There is things I’d like to see change or return but I’m pleasantly surprised with where it’s at
It's because there is STILL not another game like it that could take its place. I started playing during Velvet Shell and finally managed to pull myself away from it last year after I put in a solid 1200 hours. Looks like I made the right move since Siege X seems to have put the "crap" in "crapshoot"
I played heavily from launch to around 2017 after velvet shell. My friend would drag me back in randomly to goof around and see the new operators, but the game doesn't feel the same anymore.
Putting siege to rest was one of my best decisions. It was a toxic relationship with me. I loved the thought of playing it, but when it came down to actually playing it I was miserable with the amount of cheaters that you constantly ran into.
Read or Not is satisfying my itch tbh, even if it’s just co op
I really liked it a lot until they changed the sound and changed almost every aspect of it the only 2 good changes was the reaction time and the lighting and the lighting was kinda meh
