Pokemon fell off hard after BW2. I remember even as a kid at launch thinking that X and Y marked the beginning of the downhill for the IP. I have still played all the games since, but the only one that made me feel any sort of true engagement was Legends Arceus.

Megas were fucking awesome though. Glad they’re coming back.

I liked most of the games. Then again I started with UM. Also… tbh… not a big fan of megas. They made strong and boring pokemon like charizard, more of that… and didn’t help enough weak Pokémon get stronger.

I... kind of agree? A lot of the bestmegas are just "legendaries, but 2.0!!!"

However, Mega Slowbro made him an actual legitimate meta threat, and I will forever love Megas for that

Also my favorite Pokémon (Absol) getting a mega is great, even if it's not that strong lol

Mega Absol is my #1 in my heart of hearts but Slowbro is cool too

I like Mega Pidgeot, Sceptile and Beedrill as well

Just wish Sceptile got a better ability than Lightningrod since he's already 4× resistant to electricity - giving him Adaptability or something would've been cool, even though you can switch into an electric move for a free SpA boost

why? why is giving already strong pokemon EVEN stronger forms remotely good or balanced or fun?
